Ridge refuses to let Thomas and Gaby break the law in his home.
At Ridge's house, a defiant Thomas takes Gaby's hand and tells Ridge that if he wants to throw Gaby out, he'll have to throw him out, too. Taylor says no one is being thrown out and asks Ridge to discuss this rationally, but Ridge thinks they already did, when they agreed before he left to annul Thomas and Gaby's marriage! Taylor says things have changed. Ridge asks if the law has changed so it's legal to get married to get a green card. Taylor asks Thomas and Gaby to go upstairs so she can talk to Ridge alone. Once Thomas takes Gaby up, Taylor glares at Ridge.

Thomas and Gaby consider their feelings.
Thomas is in his room sketching when Gaby pops in to get some clothes for tomorrow. She hopes she's not bothering him. He tells her that he's having trouble focusing. Because of what's going on downstairs? she asks. He says he's more worried about how this will affect her; he wonders who his dad is to come in and question his mom's decision, especially since his dad knows his mom doesn't do anything she doesn't believe in. Gaby reminds him that his dad is right that their marriage is not legal. Thomas pulls her close; she reminds him about his parents, but he tells her to forget them. He thinks his dad is angry because he thinks their marriage is a fraud, but Thomas knows his feelings for her are real. Gaby still pulls away. Thomas tells her not to let his dad make her nervous. He isn't making her nervous, she says. Thomas is glad, since the harder his dad pushes them apart - he pulls her close again - the more he wants to... Wants to what? Gaby asks. He kisses her.

Taylor worries about Ridge's judgement.
Downstairs, Ridge finds Taylor on the terrace. He asks how she can't see this as a problem. She admits that this isn't ideal. It's illegal to harbor an undocumented alien, he reminds her. He thought he could trust her to do what's best for their son. Thomas made some convincing arguments, she says, so she suggests that Ridge hear their son out. Ridge however sees Thomas as an eighteen year old kid with bad judgement and a case of puppy love. Taylor tells Ridge that she's having more of a problem with HIS judgement right now; she tells him how she and Thomas discussed this maturely, so she's not happy with him making unilateral decisions and expecting to be obeyed. She doesn't know if that's how it was when Brooke was here, but that won't fly with her. Ridge reminds her that they discussed this before he left. But he wasn't here, she says - and when situations arose when he wasn't here, she had to deal with them. She's sorry if he doesn't like that. What he doesn't like, he says, is being made to feel guilty for protecting his son - although he suspects she wants him to feel guilty about something else. She admits they have unresolved issues in their relationship, but she thinks they have to talk about Thomas now. Ridge says he's tired, so he suggests they discuss this tomorrow. He goes to say good night to the kids and take a shower before bed, leaving Taylor alone on the terrace.

Brooke and Nick try to explain.
At Brooke's, Brooke pleads with Bridget to hear her and Nick out. Bridget says there's nothing to talk about; she heard her mom and Nick admit their feelings for each other. They did that so they could get past those feelings, Nick says. Brooke agrees and reaches out to Bridget, but Bridget tells her to keep away; she doesn't want anything to do with her mom. Brooke reminds Bridget that she's her mother, no matter how angry Bridget is; she says Bridget will understand when she and Nick have kids someday. Bridget scoffs at the idea of her baby's father panting after Grandma.

As Brooke starts to cry, Nick asks Bridget to hear him out, as it's not like that. Yes it is, Bridget insists: she wanted his respect and this is what she got. Nick says he respects her. Brooke agrees. Bridget asks how she can accept a life with him when he loves someone else. Nick wants to get away and talk to her, but Bridget doesn't see what he can say to fix this. Brooke asks Bridget to talk about this when her head's clear, but Bridget says she's thinking clearly now, with her blinders off. What she saw showed her that the life she dreamed of is over. Brooke and Nick say there is nothing going on between them; Bridget points out the dinner table and asks if this is nothing. She shoves the candles and glasses on the floor. Nick says that dinner was for her; she thanks him and throws the bottle of wine toward him and Brooke, missing them! She then walks toward Nick and says she doesn't want to see him again. She tears the necklace he gave her off her neck and holds it out for him with her engagement ring; if she can't have his respect, she says, then she doesn't want his gifts. She throws the objects at him and says she's getting rid of everything he's ever given her! She then tells Brooke to get out of the way and storms out, despite Brooke's pleas for her to wait.

Nick chases after Bridget while Brooke cleans up the food from the floor. Nick soon returns and says that he couldn't catch Bridget. Brooke worries about Bridget driving when she's this upset. Nick asks if Brooke has seen Bridget this upset before. Brooke says she has, and she's worried that it's happening again, just like it did with Deacon. Nick says they can fix this, but Brooke wonders what they were thinking. They were thinking about Bridget, he says, and he hopes Bridget will see that when she calms down. Just then, Stephanie arrives and asks what's going on. Brooke says it's none of her business, but Stephanie thinks it is after her just seeing how upset Bridget was at the cabin. She asks them what Bridget said. It was just a misunderstanding, Nick says. Bridget found them eating dinner, Brooke says. A romantic dinner, Stephanie guesses. Brooke says it wasn't, but it looked that way. And then Bridget just took off, Stephanie notes, accusing Brooke of ruining her daughter's life again. Brooke says that Bridget is just confused. Of course she is, Stephanie says, after finding her mother all over her fiance. Nick says they don't owe Stephanie any explanation; Stephanie says she doesn't need one, since she sees the guilt all over Brooke's face. She thinks about how happy Bridget was when she left the cabin, so it must have been devastating for Bridget to see Brooke and Nick together after just finding out... What did she find out? Nick asks. That she's pregnant, Stephanie replies!

Stephanie drops a bombshell on Nick.
Brooke and Nick are stunned and wonder why Bridget didn't say anything. Stephanie thinks Bridget would have had she not found her fiance together with her mother. If Nick had been alone, she explains, it would have changed everything. This DOES change everything, Nick tells her. It changed everything for Bridget, Stephanie explains, since Bridget was ready to walk away from Nick until she found out the test results. She was on the verge of a breakdown before taking the test, but she was filled with hope after the test showed positive. Brooke thinks Stephanie must be exaggerating, but Stephanie says that she isn't. She fears that Bridget is hanging on by a thread. Nick then recalls Bridget saying that she was getting rid of EVERYTHING he ever gave her; he fears that includes the baby, so he worries that Bridget is going to get rid of the baby!

Dante offers his aid.
Meanwhile, Dante helps Bridget check into a hotel; she clutches her stomach. He's glad he showed up when he did and asks why she was running away. Did something happen with her mother? And with Nick, she says, even though her mom and Nick said it was nothing. Dante asks her to open up to him, so she tells him how she found Nick and her mom together. She frets that they admitted having feelings for each other, so she feels like fool for not seeing this coming. He reminds her that she did, but then Nick talked her out of moving on by telling her that it wasn't true. He swears that this will be the least time Nick hurts her. He urges her to move on from all this confusion. She says that it's just starting, but he thinks she's free now. She then tells him that she'll be tied to Nick forever, as she's carrying his child! Bridget tells Dante that she thought she was done with the pain and the need for reassurance, so she thought all she had to do was tell Nick about the baby. Dante says she can't if Nick is in love with her mother. She knows that, which is why she didn't tell Nick.

A distraught Bridget knows what she has to do.
Dante doesn't think Nick deserves to know. She tells him how Stephanie warned her that she should move on and leave Nick. Stephanie also told her that the result wouldn't change anything, but it's changed everything, and she feels so trapped. She doesn't know if the pain will go away. It's like she felt with Hope, except she's the one who's pregnant. He asks if she's afraid the baby will remind her of what Nick did to her. She says she told Nick she was getting rid of everything he gave her. She doesn't want this child to suffer because of her mistakes, like she did with her mother's growing up. That's why she has to make a clean break, Dante advises. She thinks about how Nick wants to be a father. But Nick wants her mother, Dante says. She thinks about how she grew up with her mother yearning for her father's son, or Ridge knowing his father was in love with someone else. She feels like this has been going on in her family for generations, and she won't have that for her child. That's why she has to break this cycle; clutching her stomach, she tells Dante she has no choice.
