Thomas carries Gaby's suitcase into his bedroom; Gaby is right behind him, pleading for him to give it back. He tells her that she's not running off to Phoenix. But she has cousins there, she tells him. Who she only knows from exchanging Christmas cards, he points out, and who'd be harboring a fugitive. She refuses to make any more trouble for him and his family, but he insists that she's staying here and starts putting her things in his drawers.

Ridge can't believe that Taylor wants him to leave their home.
Downstairs, Ridge can't believe that Taylor is asking him to leave *THEIR* home. But it can't be their home until she knows that she has him completely, she says. She knows he loves her, but he's also still vulnerable to Brooke, especially after the way his mother hurt Brooke. She feels like she has to share him with another woman, and she won't have that. Ridge reminds her of the vows he took and says he meant them. Then act like it and realize what they share, Taylor instructs him. She knows he and Brooke will always share something special in RJ, but he has to remember that he has a family with her, and she needs to know that she has him completely. That's why she wants him to take some time at the Fashion Forum in New York, to think about their life together. Ridge says he can't leave while the mess with Thomas's "marriage" is going on. Taylor says that she'll handle Thomas. She urges Ridge to realize how important it is to them for him to take this time away. She hopes that they can have their old life back when he returns. She then wheels in his suitcase and asks him not to make this any harder. She caresses his face and tells him that she loves him. He says that he loves her, too. He then takes his luggage and heads toward the door, pausing for a moment at the door to look back before he leaves. Once he's gone, Taylor cries.

Gaby and Thomas ask for Taylor's help.
As Thomas lays out pictures of Helen and Gaby, Gaby asks if he talked to his dad about this. There isn't time, he says, since INS Agent Dunn is on his way. If they're going to convince Dunn, they're going to need his mom's help, especially in convincing his dad. Taylor comes in and overhears that last comment. She asks Thomas what he meant. He says that they need her help convincing Agent Dunn that his marriage is real. Absolutely not! Taylor says. She appreciates his desire to help Gaby, but he can't just make up his own rules about how life should be. He can if it's right, he says - and if it's right, he intends to fight for it. Taylor asks what he wants her to tell Agent Dunn. That this marriage is real, he replies, and that she supports it. Taylor can't believe that he's asking her to lie. He asks her to think of it as bending the truth, to keep Helen's dreams for Gaby alive. Before Taylor can say any more, the doorbell rings; she answers it and lets Agent Dunn in. Dunn is glad to see them all here. Of course they're here, Thomas says, since he and his wife live here. Dunn asks Taylor if that's true.

Brooke turns down Eri'c proposal, but accepts his other offer.
At Brooke's mansion, Brooke asks Eric if she heard him right: did he ask her to marry him? He reminds her how happy they were together when they were married. He'd like to make her happy and their children happy again, if she'll let him. She says that it would be easy to place herself in his hands, given how he's always supported and defended her. And the best times of his life, he adds, were with her. Brooke says that she'll always cherish him and their friendship, but she can't marry him. She thinks he's reacting to what Stephanie did. Eric tells her that she loves so completely, and he needs that in his life right now. And he'll have that, Brooke predicts. But right now, she needs to stand on her own, without depending on any men in her life. Eric says he's disappointed, but he's also impressed. She's glad he understands and promises that they'll always be close. He's glad to hear that, because he has an offer for her. If she wants to find a purpose in her life, he thinks she should come back to Forrester, and work beside him as Co-CEO. They'd be a team again, he says, and they'd probably even spend more time together than if they were married. And in the end, maybe she'll even propose to him. Stunned, Brooke doesn't know what to say but "yes." Then consider it done, partner, Eric says. Brooke likes the way that sounds and they hug.

Nick is surprised that Bridget invited Dante to stay at Brooke's.
Out by the pool, Nick asks Bridget what drove Stephanie to bribe a doctor. Her mother did, she responds. But to pay a million dollars? he asks. She reminds him that Mark admitted his mistake and gave back the money, but he doesn't think that changes anything. He points out that their second attempt at getting married - third if he counts Vegas, she reminds him - was messed up by her crazy family, and he's about had it with them! Upset with his description of his family, Bridget tells him that she wants to get married as much as he is. Still, she can't just ignore the turmoil in her family. Nick says he's sorry, but he just can't deal with her family pulling them apart anymore. It has to stop now. Just then, Dante comes out with Hope, who is wearing a little red bathing suit. As Dante helps Hope test the water, Nick asks what *HE* is doing here. He's staying here, Bridget says. Since when? Nick asks. Since she invited him, she replies.

Dante has things covered.
Nick can't believe that Bridget would invite Dante to live here, even after she tells him that he dad moved into the Beach House. He wonders why Dante didn't go to a hotel, or just go back to Italy. She tells him that Dante is exhibiting here. Nick thinks it's more like Dante is staying because of his pop's rich friends. He says that he doesn't want Dante staying here. Bridget thinks her mom should decide that. But her mom is vulnerable, Nick says. And besides, he doesn't like seeing Dante with Hope over there, nor does he appreciate Dante bad mouthing him to his fiancee. Bridget says Dante isn't doing that, as he knows she'd never stand for that. She asks Nick to be nice to Dante and hopes he'll be OK here while she goes to University Hospital to discuss her internship. Just then, Brooke comes out. Hope runs over and asks her mommy to swim with her, but Brooke says she has to pick RJ up from a play date first. Dante says he's got it covered. "He's got it covered," Nick sarcastically mimics before telling Brooke that he'll watch over Hope. Brooke tells Hope to listen to Uncle Nick and Dante while she's gone. She then reminds Nick to check the water in the jacuzzi if Hope wants to go in, to make sure the temperature is like bath water, and she also reminds him about Hope's water wings. Nick says he has it handled, so Brooke turns to leave. Bridget bids them goodbye, kisses Nick (with Dante watching) and follows her mom out.

Nick puts Hope's water wings and goggles on. Hope asks if she can go in the jacuzzi, since she likes the bubbles; sure, Nick says, putting her in and telling her to be careful. Hope wants him to see that she can hold her breath underwater; Nick says he's watching and looks over, but his attention is more on Dante. He asks the artist why he's here; Dante guesses from that comment that Bridget didn't tell Nick he was staying here. Nick asks Dante if his staying has anything to do with what Bridget is worth; Dante says he knows what she's worth, but he wonders if Nick does. Nick says he doesn't defend himself to liars. Then don't look in a mirror, Dante quips. Hope comes up from underwater after five seconds. Nick calls her a little mermaid, to which she responds that she's trying again. As Hope goes back under, Nick advises Dante not to make trouble for Massimo's "friends" or for Bridget. Dante counters by accusing Nick of being in love with Brooke, not Bridget, and he thinks Nick is in denial about that. Nick says that Brooke is his friend. And Bridget is his, Dante points out - and he looks out for his friends.

Hope plays in the jacuzzi.
Hope comes up and asks Nick if he saw that; he says he did. As Hope goes under again, Nick tells Dante to butt out. Dante points out how many times Nick's wedding to Bridget has been interrupted and thinks Nick should take that as a sign that he still loves Brooke. One of Hope's water wings pops to the surface, unnoticed by either of them. Dante says that he doesn't want Bridget to be hurt. Then stay away from her, Nick says. Dante says he's only leaving if Brooke asks, but he doesn't think she will. Underwater, with her remaining water wing in her hand, Hope gets too close to the drain at the bottom of the jacuzzi, and her hair gets caught. Dante says he's leaving to blow out steam, but he'll be back. Nick watches him go and then looks to the jacuzzi - and when he sees Hope's sticking up, Nick realizes something's wrong and calls out Hope's name.
