Gaby tries to reassure Thomas.
Thomas is in his room sketching; from the pile of discarded papers around him, he seems to be having trouble. Gaby knocks and the door and asks if she could get a few things. Thomas tells her that she's his wife, so she shouldn't need to knock. What if he was naked? she asks. Thomas thinks that would be fun to try, but she reminds him that his parents would kill her. He doubts they'd even notice with everything going on in this house. Gaby says that things are hard now. They are, Thomas agrees; he doesn't see his parents worrying about his marriage when there's so much tension in their own. Gaby asks if she's causing that tension. It's not just her, Thomas says. It's Brooke, his dad and everything. Gaby says that she hoped things would be OK when his parents renewed their vows. Thomas says he did too. He knows his dad loves his mom. But Ridge can't just forget Brooke when they share a son, Gaby points out. Thomas says that he knows, and his mom does too, but he doesn't think his mom deserves what his dad is putting her through, even if his dad doesn't mean it. He just hopes Ridge comes to his senses before it's too late.

Thomas confides in his "wife".
Thomas says that he can't focus on designs for his fashion show with everything going on. It'll be his big debut, Gaby says, looking at his sketches and raving about them. Thomas hopes the show will go well; with any luck, he might get his own line. Gaby puts her arms around his neck and says that it's about talent, not luck, and he has that. Still, Thomas says, it won't be the same if his parents aren't together to cheer him on, like he always dreamed about. He wants his parents to be happy like they used to be. Gaby gives him a little kiss on the lips; she knows their marriage is in name only, but she's starting to feel like part of this family. They kiss.

Taylor tells Ridge that she's heard enough.
Downstairs, Taylor continues to listen to Ridge and Thorne. Thorne reminds Ridge that he can't have feelings for Brooke and be married to Taylor. Ridge asks what he's supposed to do, then, since he can't just turn off his feelings for Brooke. Thorne doesn't think Ridge has a choice: he thinks Ridge has to talk to Taylor and tell her the truth if he still loves Brooke. And tell her that Brooke is unforgettable? Ridge asks. He feels torn: he loves Taylor as much as ever and doesn't want to hurt her, but... But he's in love with Brooke and doesn't know what to to about it, Thorne guesses. As a hurt Taylor listens, Thorne tells Ridge that he can't just go back and forth between the two women, and he doesn't think Taylor will just sit around and wait while Ridge does. That's why he thinks Ridge has to be honest with Taylor. Ridge asks how he can do that. Taylor reveals herself and says that he doesn't have to say anything, as she's already heard enough!

Ridge asks Taylor for more time.
Thorne excuses himself, leaving Ridge and Taylor alone. Ridge tells her that he didn't mean for her to hear it this way, as he can barely face his own feelings. That he still loves Brooke? she asks. And that Brooke is "unforgettable?" Ridge asks how he can just forget someone he shared a life and a child with. She says she never asked him to. But at the same time, when they renewed their vows, he knew that she needed him to commit to her, but it seems to her that he still has divided feelings. Ridge says he understands that he has to leave Brooke behind, but it's not so easy. He asks Taylor to be patient, but she thinks she already has been. She fought to come back to him, to get their life back, and then she found out he was married to Brooke. But she gave him time to make his choice, and he made it, but now it sees like they're back where they started again. She finds that unacceptable. Ridge starts to explain, but she tells him to save it. She's heard enough, but has he heard her? The worst part is that she and the kids thought he was living here because he wanted them to be here. Ridge again asks more time, but Taylor thinks she already is and isn't going to do it anymore.

At the hotel, Bridget tells Dante that she can't wait any longer. She asks what she did by telling Nick that she killed their child. Dante says it was a test, but she says it was cruel. He reminds her that she had to know how her mother and Nick felt about each other, but she thinks it was still wrong. She loves Nick, who doesn't deserve to be punished anymore. It's time for Nick to know the truth. Just then, Catherine arrives with some news. When she tells Bridget and Dante that she saw Brooke and Nick in each other's arms last night, Bridget looks disappointed, but Catherine then adds that it wasn't romantic. Brooke and Nick were in pain, blaming themselves for hurting Bridget and consoling each other. Then Nick came by today and told Brooke that he thought Bridget doesn't need him anymore. That's not true! Bridget says. Nick just wants her to be happy, Catherine assures Bridget, and he feels helpless. Bridget says that she ruined everything, but Catherine thinks this can still be righted by telling Nick that his baby is alive!

Dante tries to reassure Bridget.
As Dante shows Catherine out, Bridget looks out the window. Dante then comes over and tells Bridget he's happy for her, although it's bittersweet for him. Bridget thanks him for being her friend: she couldn't have done this without him. Always, he says. And now, he adds, Nick will be a lucky man to learn that she's still carrying his child. Bridget hopes Nick will forgive her. He will, Dante says. Bridget wishes she had trusted Nick. Dante says that she had to test him: now she knows how he feels. Bridget sees that Nick was right when he said he wouldn't act on his feelings for Brooke, and she's just glad this ridiculous test is over.

Nick is stunned by Brooke's reactions.
Aboard the Shady Marlin, Nick stares in disbelief at Brooke, who admits that she loves him. Bridget's love for him may have died, but her love hasn't. Nick pulls away, accusing her of just saying this to keep him here. He pushes her away and goes to the radio, where he raises the Harbor Master to report his course and departure. The Harbor Master tells him not to leave, as there are 45 knot winds and 20 ft. seas. Nick reports his course again; when the Harbor Master objects, Nick turns off the radio and tells Brooke to go. He heard what the Harbor Master said, she says: she's not letting him go out into this storm to kill himself. Nick grabs her and tries to push her off, but Brooke says she's not going anywhere, because she loves him! He asks her to understand that he CAN'T stay and keep ruining people's lives like her's and Bridget's. He's hasn't, she insists: he's brought love and caring, she points out. Maybe love isn't enough, he suggests, since it drove Bridget to... He recalls how he promised not to hurt Bridget, like the other man in her life, but look what happened! He orders Brooke to leave, but she won't let it end this way. It already ended when he lost his child, he cries.

Brooke sees where her destiny lies.
Nick says he never thought he'd have to again know the pain of losing a child and the woman he loves. Brooke tries to comfort him, but he pulls away. He must have been a fool to think that he could be a father. Brooke says he doesn't mean it, but he says he does and pushes her off the boat. Brooke pushes back and says she's not leaving the only man she could ever count on. If that's what he is to her, he says, he's sorry; he sits down on the steps. She sits beside him and reminds him of his promise to be there for her and her children - and when Ridge turned his back on her, he lived up to that vow. She needs him, she insists. She can't believe that she was so caught up in building a life with Ridge that she never asked herself why she had to try so hard. She asks if Ridge every really loved her or made her happy - but she went along with it anyway. She never thought that maybe, this great master plan WASN'T meant to be. She never saw that her destiny wasn't to be with Ridge, but with Nick! And Bridget saw that before even they did! Her daughter, Nick says. Yes, Brooke responds - and that's why she had to deny those feelings and fight them, even when she felt so in tune with him, like when they were at the hospital with Hope. They both fought it, he says. And in the end, he adds, no one was spared, not Bridget or the child. Brooke says she knows, and that was a tragedy that never should have happened. But out of that came clarity, since she sees she's meant to be with him, not Ridge. They start kissing each other passionately as "Going Back Again" plays in the background.
