Thomas and Gaby try to convince Agent Dunn.
At Ridge's house, INS Agent Dunn questions Thomas and his wife living with Thomas's parents, who didn't even know they were married. Thomas claims the Dunn blew their surprise with his earlier visit by telling his parents before he could. Dunn accuses Thomas of marrying Gaby just to get her a green card, but Thomas points out how illegal that would be. He says he and Gaby love each other. They'd better, Dunn warns, since INS will be watching them for two years before Gabriela becomes legal, and if there's even a hint of fraudulent intent... He looks to Taylor and urges her to get her son to do the right thing, and not to break the law herself by helping her son. Taylor tells him that she understands what's at stake, which is why she has to be honest with him... that her son loves Gaby and cares about her. She admits that she and her husband were suspicious at first, too, and they were upset that Thomas didn't tell them first about his plans. At the same time, though, she has to tell Dunn that the wedding ceremony was legit. Gaby is part of their family, she adds, and it's none of the Government's business in her opinion. Dunn asks if her husband agrees; he's out of town, she says. She thinks there's nothing more to be said, so she says she'll show Dunn to the door - but the only door he wants to see is the one to the newlyweds' bedroom!

Agent Dunn tells the happy couple that he'll have his eye on them.
Taylor takes the agent to Thomas's room, with Thomas and Gaby behind them. The agent wants to see how the new bride has settled in and starts looking through the dresser drawers. He thinks he's proved his point when the top drawer only has Thomas's things... but then he goes to the second drawer and finds some of Gaby's lingerie. Dunn is surprised, and so is Taylor, who asks the agent if he's satisfied. Far from it, Dunn says. He warns them that he will still be keeping a close eye on this marriage, and if he finds any proof that the marriage is a sham, they'll all be in trouble. He shows himself out.

Taylor lays down some rules.
Thomas thanks his mom for standing by them. He's sorry he put her in this position. He should be, Taylor says, because lying is never good! She turns to Gaby and acknowledges Helen's dream for her daughter to go to college. She also sees how much Gaby cares for her son. But at the same time, she has two impressionable teenage girls living here who shouldn't get the wrong idea, so she's setting one very important ground rule: absolutely no sex while living under this roof! She doesn't want the twins thinking it's OK to do that in this house. Gaby says that they haven't... And it better stay that way, Taylor warns, since she'll be asking Gaby to leave at even the slightest hint that she and Thomas are breaking the rules. Taylor leaves. So it's over if they break the rules, Gaby tells Thomas, who points out that his mother and sisters aren't here. And his mom said something about no *public* displays of affection, he adds - and since this bedroom is private, he thinks that solves their problem. They kiss.

Hector arrives in response to Nick's calling 9-1-1.
By Brooke's pool. Nick sees Hope's feet sticking out of the water in the jacuzzi. He jumps in and sees that Hope's caught in the drain, but try as he may, he can't get her loose. He gets out his pocketknife, cuts Hope's hair free of the grate and carries Hope out of the water, lying her on the ground so he can administer CPR. He stops once Hope starts spitting up the water from her lungs and calls 911, asking for an ambulance to come to 200 N. Beston Place [so now we know Brooke's address]. He then takes Hope inside, telling her to stay with him. Before long, Hector and the paramedics arrive. Nick tells them what happened. Hector asks how long Hope was underwater. Nick isn't sure. Hector calls for some oxygen and they get Hope into the ambulance. Nick goes with them, telling Hope to hang on. As they drive to the hospital, Nick sees Hope seize again. One of the EMT's says that the seizures are eating up her cerebral oxygen. A confused Nick asks what's going on, but Hector tells him to let the EMT's work.

The doctor tells Nick about Hope's condition.
When they get to the hospital, Hope is taken to the ER, where the doctor starts ordering all kinds of tests and medication. Nick asks what's going on. The doctor asks Nick if he's the father, or a legal guardian; Nick says he isn't, but he was there when it happened. The doctor says they'll do what they can and gets back to work. Nick wants to go in the room, since Hope needs him, but the doctor refuses. Nick insists on going on, so Hector has to hold him back and convince him to let the doctors work. Nick laments that he was supposed to watch her, but he looked away for just a minute. Shortly after, a nurse tells Nick he can go in. He goes in the room and stares at Hope, lying there with her eyes closed. He asks the doctor how she is. The doctor says that she's stable, but they still have to watch for secondary drowning" where the lungs can become flooded with pulmonary water again, for 48 hours. He thinks Nick's CPR saved Hope and asks what happened. Nick tells him that Hope was showing him how she could hold her breath underwater. He was... talking to someone and looked away for a moment, and Hope's hair got caught in the drain underwater. He's not sure how long she was under. The doctor says they have to find out. Brain damage is possible, although rescue and CPR within 5 minutes can make the difference. It's possible Hope will wake up and be fine, but there are no guarantees. Nick goes to Hope's side as the doctor checks some scans.

Brooke frantically wonders where Hope and Nick are.
Brooke arrives home with Catherine and RJ. While Catherine goes to put RJ down for a nap, Brooke head for the pool to check on Nick and Hope. She calls out to Hope from the patio door, not seeing the water wing and the towel on the floor. She goes outside and still finds no one. Then she finds Nick's cell phone in a puddle of water, and then she sees Hope's other water wing in the jacuzzi. She frantically runs inside and asks Catherine if she's seen either Hope or Nick. When Catherine says no, they both race around the house looking. Catherine sees that Nick's car is outside. When neither one of them can find any sign of Nick or Hope, Catherine wonders if they went for a walk, but Brooke shows her the water wing she found outside. She's starting to get worries, so Catherine tries to calm her. Catherine wonders if Dante could have taken them for a ride, but Brooke points out that he doesn't have a car. Brooke then walks around the sofa and finds the towel and the other water wing. She picks them up, clearly worried.

As Brooke and Catherine wonder what this means, Brooke starts to fear the worst. Just then, the phone rings: it's Nick. He tells Brooke that he's at the hospital. Brooke asks him to tell her that her little girl is OK. He repeats her name; she again asks if her little girl's OK. Just tell her that! she pleads.
