Gaby stops by as Thomas prepares for his fashion show.
Over at Spectra, Sally, Thorne, Darla, Clarke and Thomas are busy getting ready for Thomas's first fashion show. Sally praises that young Thomas's work will be a "lollapalooza," but Clarke quips that's just her bursitis talking. Seriously, Thorne tells Thomas, he's done a great job. Just then, Gaby stops by with a kiss for her husband and some cookies for the gang. Everyone fawns over the show of young love, but Thorne then says they have a lot to do and gets them back to work. Gaby tries to get a little small talk in with Thomas, but Clarke shoos her off so their boy wonder can get back to work.

Darla offers Gaby some advice.
Gaby steps back and watches all the activity with Darla, who sees how happy the young woman is of her man. Gaby agrees that she's proud, but she admits that it's hard to live under the same roof with Thomas and not to... It's just that she's never been with a man, but she wants to be with Thomas so much. But that would mean going against Taylor, Darla notes. Gaby agrees, and she knows that would be wrong, since Taylor has been so supportive, even going against Ridge for her. "Trust me, honey, you don't want to make an enemy out of Taylor," Darla advises.

Eric and Jackie bond over Bridget's actions.
At Eric's beach house, Jackie stops by and asks Eric about his life without Stephanie. Stephanie is the least of his worries, he says. Jackie asks what's wrong, so he gives her the tragic news: Bridget had an abortion. Jackie is surprised, since she didn't even know Bridget was pregnant. She can't believe Bridget would abort a child. There's more, Eric adds: Bridget terminated the pregnancy because she realized what Jackie has claimed all along, that Nick is still in love with Brooke. Jackie's still stunned that Bridget would do this, since Nicky would have stood by her. Eric explains that his daughter wanted Nick and Brooke to be free to be together - which is what he's guessing they're doing based on his conversation with Brooke earlier, where Brooke told him that Nick is the man she's been searching for all her life. He knows Brooke's said that before, but listening to her, he could feel how much she loves Nick. Jackie is torn; she always thought she'd be delighted to hear that Brooke and Nick have admitted their feelings for each other, but she can't forget the pain Bridget must be in. They lament the loss of a grandchild, but Jackie brings the talk back to Brooke again. She feels for Bridget, but at the same time, she thinks a marriage between Bridget and Nick would just end tragically. Brooke told him that Nick, and not Ridge, was her destiny, Eric explains. Jackie says she's always known that and hopes that her son and Brooke might finally be happy.

Bridget asks Brooke to be happy for her.
At Brooke's house, Brooke is stunned and angry to hear that Bridget didn't abort the baby. Bridget admits that it was wrong, but she wants to focus on the positive: she and Nick are having a baby! But she lied about an abortion, Brooke says. She made them think that... Bridget repeats that she knows it was a mistake, but at the same time, she thinks Brooke should understand why she was paranoid about her mother being with the man she loves after what happened with Deacon. They got past that, Brooke points out. Because she forgave Brooke, Bridget coldly retorts. She tells Brooke what it was like to see her with Nick in the hospital. But Hope was dying, Brooke points out. Still, Bridget points out, Brooke was with Nick and hope so much at the hospital... It was so hard to watch that and relive the pain, she sobs, because Nick is her anchor and soul mate. After, seeing that, she thinks it's no wonder that she overreacted to the thought of having to explain to her baby that daddy loves Grandma and not her. She knows it was stupid, but now that her mom and Nick came through for her, she wants to put the insecurities behind her. She looks to Nick, puts her arms around him and asks him to tell her that he loves her, because nothing has changed. Nick is silent for a moment; he then looks at Brooke and back to Bridget. Things have changed, he tells Bridget, more than she realizes.
Bridget asks Nick how things could have changed in just a few days. Brooke calls out Nick's name, but he replies that Bridget saw the connection between him and her mother. They even admitted it, Bridget reminds him: they were honest with each other and dealt with those feelings. Maybe they should have been honest sooner, Nick says. Bridget admits that she wasn't thinking, but she's glad at how it turned out, as it could have been worse. How? Brooke asks. Bridget reminds her mom that she didn't terminate her pregnancy; wouldn't that be worse? She knows she was impulsive, impulsively, selfish and immature, but she's sorry, and she hopes her mom and Nick would understand. Maybe she was naive, she suggests, so she tells them to do something, like yell at her about how furious they are! She can't take their just staring at her. Nick tells her that she made a decision, and so has he. But she wasn't thinking clearly, Bridget argues: she had a meltdown, especially with the hormones raging inside her. Can't he see... can't he and Brooke both see how much she needs them? She thinks that thought of losing Nick while carrying his child just got to her, but she knows now that they would never betray her. She asks Brooke to forgive her, pointing out how she hasn't eaten or slept because of this. Suddenly, she gasps and holds her tummy. Brooke and Nick rush to her side. Bridget says she's OK; she just panicked and thinks she should get some rest, so she goes upstairs for a nap. As she walks up the steps, she tells Brooke and Nick how much she loves them.

Nick isn't sure he can do what Brooke asks.
Nick and Brooke look at each other, stunned. Brooke guesses that Nick was about to tell Bridget about their feelings for each other, and she asks how he can do that now that Bridget is carrying her child. That would be telling Bridget that her fears had come true! Moreover, she knows Nick would turn his back on his child. He isn't, Nick says, but he can't turn his back on their feelings, either. He knows it's complicated, but he thinks that Bridget has to know the truth. They can't tell Bridget, Brooke says; she reminds him that Bridget asked for their forgiveness, and that's just what she's going to get. He's going to marry Bridget and raise that child with her, she instructs. Even if the two of them are in love? Nick asks. Bridget is her daughter, Brooke argues, and she's hurt Bridget too much in the past. She won't do that again. Nick doesn't want to hurt Bridget either, but they just can't pretend... They can, Brooke says, and they will. Nick asks about their feelings; she takes his face in her hands and tells him to be a good husband to Bridget and a father to their child. Nick pleads with her not to ask him to do this, but she says he has to. She knows he can do it. It has to be this way, she insists as she starts to cry. She repeats that it has to be this way as they hold each other tightly.
