At Forrester, Bridget praises Nick for getting Eric's approval and asks him to do the same with Ridge. But Ridge has special issues, Nick says. Bridget is sure Nick's up to the task and adds ""win Ridge over" to his to-do list. And speaking of to-do lists, she has a ton of things to do; even with her mom helping, she has to talk to caterers, musicians and florists, and she needs to pick a dress! Nick asks when she stopped savoring every moment. She says they can do that after the wedding. Nick points out that they have the office to themselves and suggests some making out; they go to the couch and go at each other until Megan pops in. Shocked at what she sees, Megan apologizes for interrupting. Bridget says she was just leaving, but Megan says they're good and offers to put up a "do not disturb" sign. Once Megan leaves, Bridget says she really should be going, as she has lots to do, including asking her mom to be her matron of honor. She asks if he picked a best man. He asks if he needs one. When Bridget says yes, Nick tells her to go to her mom's and he'll catch up later. As she leaves, Bridget reminds Nick to win Ridge over: she thinks they need Ridge as part of this wedding if they want to bring their families together.

Rick arrives for the wedding.
|
At Ridge and Brooke's house, Brooke is preparing for the wedding when Rick arrives from Milan. He tells his mom that the place looks great, but he wants to know what's up with the sudden wedding. He hopes Bridget isn't... She assures him that Bridget is not pregnant and is just excited about spending her life with Nick. Speaking of which, Rick asks his mom how she feels about her ex-fiance marrying her daughter. She admits she had her reservations at first, but she's talked with both Bridget and Nick and thinks it's wonderful. She knows that Nick and Bridget love each other and suggests that Rick see for himself when Bridget gets here. Rick asks where his sister is; when Brooke says that Bridget's with Nick, Rick laughs at the thought of his sister slacking off and leaving all the work to mom. Brooke says she doesn't mind, since she wants her daughter to have the perfect wedding she deserves.

Ridge wonders what brings Nick by.
|
Ridge is working when Nick pops in and clears his throat to get Ridge's attention. Ridge asks Nick what he wants. Nick says he's not here to call off the wedding, if that's what Ridge hopes. He just wanted to talk about their last conversation, pointing out that Brooke doesn't recall Puerto Vista the way Ridge does. Ridge says this isn't an apology, but he admits that he's had a lot of memories and emotions flooding back to him that have caused him to overreact. Even so, he still can't support Nick marrying Bridget. Nick points out that the wedding is going to happen, and he wonders if Ridge burying himself in work is his way of avoiding that.

Nick has a request for Ridge.
|
Ridge asks Nick to get to the point; Nick says he will and hands Ridge a cigar. Ridge asks what that's for; Nick says the groom always gives a cigar to the man he wants as his best man. He knows it's a crazy idea given Ridge's feelings, and he also knows he could have asked Massimo, but he knows how much it would mean to Bridget. Ridge asks Nick if Bridget sent him; she doesn't know, Nick says. Ridge bets that Nick will go running right to Bridget if he refuses. Nick doesn't think Ridge will refuse; he knows how important family is to Ridge, and that's what this wedding is about. He and Bridget want to bring the Forresters and Marones together, and being from both families, he thinks Ridge is the cornerstone of that. He asks Ridge to think about it, since it would be the best wedding present Bridget could ever ask for.

Megan makes some observations about Nick and Bridget.
|
Later, Megan brings Ridge some reports and says it's good to have him back. She thinks it feels like old times, with the family coming together for his homecoming, or Bridget's wedding. She admits she even caught Nick and Bridget making out. Ridge says he'll have to disinfect the place. Megan says Nick was OK, although Bridget was a bit embarrassed. Still, she thinks they make a great couple. She's glad Bridget is having some good luck for a change, and she thinks Nick is one of the greatest guys she knows, next to Ridge, of course. Ridge thanks her for the compliment and asks if she has anything else for him. She says she doesn't, so he thanks her and she leaves. Once he's alone, Ridge sits back in his chair and thinks about all this.

Bridget has a request for Brooke.
|
Bridget gets home and is thrilled with all the work Brooke is putting in to get the house ready for the wedding. Brooke tells her that Rick's arrived and she just missed him; Bridget wants to find him, but Brooke tells her to first go upstairs and choose a dress from the rack Brooke had sent over from Forrester. She knows it's not the same as if Eric designed it just for Bridget, but they didn't have any choice. Bridget says not to fret, since she appreciates Brooke's support. Brooke admits there were times in the past when she wasn't there for Bridget, so she intends to be there for her 100%. Bridget says she'd take 80% if they could give the rest to Ridge, who has yet to come around like Brooke, Stephanie or even Eric. Brooke tells her not to let Ridge get in the way of her special day. Bridget says it's about bringing the family together; she points out how the wedding has brought the two of them closer than they've been and gotten her to the point where she no longer feels like she's in Brooke's shadow. That's why she wants one more thing from Brooke to put the past behind her: for Brooke to be her matron of honor!
Brooke is surprised; it's not that she doesn't want to stand up for Bridget, but she wonders what people would think of her being up at the altar with her ex-fiance and her daughter. Bridget however thinks it could help put the scandals the family has been through to rest. More importantly, she loves Brooke, who has taught her to be confident and always follow her heart, so she wants her mom beside her. When she puts it that way, Brooke says, how can she refuse? Bridget thanks her and gives her a hug.
Nick arrives and wonders what's with the tears and hugging. Bridget tells him that Brooke agreed to be her matron of honor. Nick thinks that's good, since he found his best man. Bridget guesses it's Massimo, so she's surprised when Nick tells her that it's Ridge! He jokes that the two of them hugged and cried, too. Bridget can't believe it; she thinks this wedding really will bring their families together! Just then, the phone rings: Brooke answers it, and there's a woman screaming.
Elsewhere, we see a phone booth with a phone dangling off the hook.
Brooke calls out into the phone, but after the screaming, there's nothing and she hangs up. Bridget asks what happened. Brooke tells her about the screaming. Nick guesses it was some girls prank calling Thomas. Bridget suggests checking the caller ID. Brooke says she'll find those girls and call their parents if it happens again, but right now, she has a wedding to focus on. A wedding that will be absolutely perfect, Bridget says.
Back at the phone booth, a gloved hand, like the one that shredded the magazine, places the phone back in its cradle.
