Massimo is stunned by Brooke's news.
At Ridge's house, Brooke calls out to Amber on the phone, but she only hears a dial tone. She wonders what Amber has done to Ridge and calls Marone Industries to find Massimo and tell him about Amber's call. Bridget arrives and overhears her mom talking to Massimo's assistant, Shelly; she asks what's happened to Ridge. Brooke frantically explains that Amber has Ridge and called with her demands before getting cut off. Bridget can't believe it, but Brooke's willing to believe anything where Amber's concerned. She just hopes they find Ridge in time. Brooke then gets a calls from Massimo, who asks if it's true that Amber has Ridge. Brooke says it is; Amber called and started to give her instructions, but the phone went dead after just ten seconds. Brooke hopes the sudden hang-up doesn't mean that something went wrong with Amber's plans, like Ridge trying to escape. Massimo tells Brooke not to overreact, but she tells him that she'll only be calm once he brings Ridge back home.

Jackie warns Massimo that Amber is dangerous.
Aboard the Marone jet, Massimo makes some calls to trace Amber's credit cards. He hangs up and tells Jackie that he has the support of all the local authorities. He just wishes he had dealt with Amber right after she trapped Ridge and Bridget in that damn mine. Jackie tells him that it wasn't his place to press charges, but he thinks there were other way to stop Amber - and because he didn't use them, he's practically handed his son over to Amber! Jackie says this is all Amber's fault, not his. And he intends to make Amber suffer for it, Massimo declares. Jackie reminds him that Amber is dangerous and begs him to let the authorities handle this, but he refuses to let Amber slip away again. He's confident that he can handle Ms. Moore, find Ridge and bring him home.

Bridget comforts a frantic Brooke.
Back in Bel Air, Bridget tries to comfort a frantic Brooke. She tells her mom to stop worrying about why Amber hasn't called back and focus on her belief that Ridge will soon be home. Brooke says she wants to, but she can't forget how she almost lost Ridge to Amber before. And her love for Ridge got her through that, Bridget reminds her, just as it will now. Bridget still can't believe that Amber could kidnap Ridge and whisk him off to Europe. She tries offering Brooke some tea, but Brooke is too anxious from all the waiting. They're listening to the answering machine message that Brooke and Ridge recorded last Christmas, which is still on the machine, when Massimo calls with good news: he's located Amber's hotel and will head over there with the police as soon as he lands! Brooke thanks him for the news and asks him to call when he knows more. See, Bridget says, she knew they'd find Ridge.

Brooke still fears that something can go wrong, but Bridget is confident that it won't. She tells her mom that when she was in that mineshaft with Ridge, thinking she was dying, she felt this intense sense of peace knowing that Ridge would find a way to get back to his wife and his family. She knew then that Ridge would always be there for her mother, and she still believes that. Brooke thanks her beautiful daughter for the comforting words. She just wishes she had torn up that mineshaft photo when she first saw it, put her arms around Ridge and never let go.

Amber confronts Morgan about bringing Ridge to Venice.
In Venice, an angry Morgan asks Amber what she's doing here. She boasts that she should call the police to have Amber locked up for breaking into her room. Go right ahead and call, Amber says, so they can tell the cops what Morgan did to Ridge. Ridge is fine, Morgan says. Amber says it doesn't look that way to her after hearing from Ridge how he lost his memory and was tricked into coming here. He came here willingly, Morgan insists; he needed help, so she took him to see her mother, one of Europe's top neurologists, Amber says he could have gotten help in L.A., but Morgan wanted him to herself, even if it caused his family to worry sick about him. Morgan asks Amber if the Forresters sent her here to find Ridge; Amber says she's just here on vacation, but maybe it's not just a coincidence that fate brought her here. She dares Morgan to reconnect the phone so she can call Brooke back. The real Brooke, Ridge shouts, not the phony Morgan used to trick him. Morgan says she can explain, but Ridge can't imagine what explanation can justify the lies Morgan told him or her keeping him from his family. But his family abandoned him, Morgan insists. Brooke even threw him out. Even if Brooke did, Amber says, it wasn't Morgan's place to keep them from working out their issues.

Ridge fumes at Morgan's lies.
Ridge recalls how Morgan accused his mother of playing god; and what did she thinks she was doing with her lies? he asks. Morgan says she just needed a little time for him to give her back the child she lost; she thinks he owes it to her. Amber asks what Morgan means, so Ridge explains how Morgan wanted him to impregnate her, even if it kept him from his kids. He tells Amber they're leaving, but Morgan pleads with him not to go. Amber starts to plug the phone in to call the cops, but Natalie comes in and advises Amber against it. Amber asks who Natalie is; Ridge tells her that's Morgan's mom. Morgan tells her mom that Ridge knows everything thanks to Amber, who they know from L.A. and who just happened to be vacationing here. Then Amber knows how disturbed Morgan is, Natalie guesses. Amber says that's putting it mildly. Morgan thinks anyone who went through what she did would be scarred. Natalie agrees that Morgan is responsible for her actions, but she thinks she's just as much to blame. After Morgan's dad left, Natalie was so consumed with her own career that she left Morgan alone with servants, not realizing what the lack of love would do to her daughter. That abandonment got Morgan to the point where she needed a baby to cope - and Natalie is deeply sorry for that and prays that Morgan will let her make it up to her.

Natalie tells her daughter she's sorry.
Morgan apologizes to Ridge for taking him from his family; she was just in so much pain, and he was the first person to love her. Not the first, he says: the first was Natalie, who just didn't know how to let Morgan know that. Natalie thanks Ridge, who tells her to take care of her daughter. He gives Morgan a kiss on the cheek and leaves with Amber, leaving Natalie to embrace Morgan and tell her how sorry she is.

A phone call brings Brooke some good news.
Amber takes Ridge back to her hotel, where she dials up Brooke. She bets Ridge is nervous as she waits for Brooke to pick up the phone. When Brooke answers and hears Amber's voice, she orders Amber to let Ridge go! Amber tells her that she has it all wrong. She didn't kidnap Ridge, but rather, she saved him from Morgan DeWitt. She explains how Morgan got out of the mental ward, ran into Ridge and lured him away. Brooke says Ridge would never go anywhere with Morgan. But he had a concussion and couldn't remember who he was, Amber explains. But now Ridge is safe here with her and wants to talk to his wife. She puts Ridge on the phone; he tells Brooke that he's still unclear about his past, but he can confirm the story Amber told her. He's just grateful that Amber was here to keep him out of Morgan's clutches. The important thing is for him to come home, Brooke says, admitting she should never have kicked him out. He just wishes he could remember what he did to make her do that. She's sure he'll remember in time. Ridge tells her that he's so sorry. She's sure that he'll understand everything once he comes home to her and the kids. Suddenly, he calls her “Logan”; Brooke is overjoyed to hear his pet name for her, which he just recalled after hearing her voice. He asks her to keep talking to him. She says she will, it it will help. She'll keep on talking if she has to, she sobs, since he's finally coming home.
