Rick agrees to Nick's request.
Rick drops by the Shady Marlin to see Nick. He admits he's worried about Nick marrying his sister because of Bridget's history with men. Nick gives Rick his word that he'll fix that - and he adds that more importantly, he'll give BRIDGET his word that he will, too. Rick is glad to hear that and welcomes Nick to the family. Nick thanks Rick and offers him a beer. Rick says he'd love one. Nick's glad, since it gives him a chance to ask Rick something. He explains that he asked Ridge to be his best man, and Ridge reluctantly agreed. Still, Nick would like someone with a bit more enthusiasm there, so he'd like Rick to stand up with them, too. Rick says he'd be glad to, especially for the man who's making his sister so happy. They toast with their beers to that.

Bridget has a request for Stephanie.
Bridget drops by the Forrester mansion to see Stephanie, who admits she's worried about Gaby. She thinks it would be good for Gaby to be around people and wonders if Bridget would mind taking a break from her wedding plans to invite Gaby to the wedding. Bridget says she will, especially since her mom has the wedding under control. And no one knows more about weddings than Brooke, Stephanie laughs. Bridget thinks this wedding will really bring the Forresters and Marones together, especially since her mom and Ridge agreed to stand up for her and Nick. She only has one more thing to ask: since Stephanie has always been like the family's rudder, she'd like Stephanie to be part of the wedding party. Stephanie says she'd be honored. Everything is finally coming together for their family, Bridget gushes. Stephanie recalls Bridget growing up amid all those family scandals; she and Eric are both proud of of how Bridget turned out and of her using this wedding to bring their families together. Bridget doesn't expect her dad and Massimo or Ridge and Nick to become best buddies, but she thinks this will show the families how blessed they are, and she has Nick to thank. He's a good man, Stephanie says, which is exactly what Bridget deserves. Bridget says she's glad to finally put her doubts and insecurities aside. Stephanie agrees that it's good that Bridget's days of competing with her mother are finally over.

Stephanie reassures Rick.
After Bridget leaves, Rick drops by. He tells Stephanie he's looking for his sister. She tells him he just missed her. She's sure Bridget will find time for her big brother, who flew all the way from Milan for her. Rick says he wouldn't have missed this for anything. Stephanie agrees that everyone's excited. Except Ridge, Rick says, telling Stephanie about his visit with Nick. Stephanie agrees that Ridge has reservations, but so did she at first. Now, however, she's sure Nick is over Brooke and in love with Bridget. Rick hopes so; he recalls all the heartache Bridget has been through with guys. He always wanted to be there for his sister, to protect her, but he had made so many mistakes in his own life that she didn't want his help anymore. That's why he's glad to see Bridget happy. He just hopes nothing will mess this up for her.

Jackie urges Brooke to act before it's too late.
Over at Ridge and Brooke's house, Brooke's wedding preparations are interrupted by a visit from Jackie, who compliments Brooke on all the work she's done here. It reminds her of when Brooke was going to marry Nick. Except this wedding will have a happy ending for Nick and Bridget, Brooke predicts. Jackie agrees that Bridget's a lovely woman, but she can think of someone who could make her son even happier. She recalls how happy Brooke and Nick were when they were engaged. Brooke sees where this is going and asks Jackie to stop: she points out that Nick wants Bridget now, and she's happy with Ridge. Jackie recalls how Brooke and Nick were happy, while Ridge was always letting Brooke down because of one crisis after another. She has to wonder if Brooke is ready to give Nick up to her daughter forever. Brooke can't believe that Jackie is bringing this up the day before the wedding. Because tomorrow will be too late, Jackie says. She urges Brooke to remember what she and Nick shared, because there won't be any going back once Nick marries Bridget.

Ridge gets an idea.
As "Going Back Again" plays in the background, Brooke recalls the happy times she had while she was engaged to Nick. Jackie can see from the look on Brooke's face that she recalls how happy they were, so she urges Brooke to do something about those feelings tonight. Brooke asks Jackie to leave; she hates to burst Jackie's bubble, but she is thrilled about this wedding. Jackie urges her to see that Nick is running from his past, but Brooke doesn't see that. She sees that Nick loves Bridget, just like she loves Ridge. But what if something came between her and Ridge? Jackie asks. Brooke doesn't think that will happen. Jackie reminds Brooke that Nick is one of a kind. Which is why he deserves somebody special like Bridget, Brooke agrees. Before they can get into it more, Ridge arrives. Brooke covers that she and Jackie just had some wedding details to work out and thinks they're done. They are, Jackie agrees, leaving. Ridge tells Brooke that he sensed some tension there and asks if there's something going on. Everything's fine, Brooke assures him. She says she heard that he agreed to be Nick's best man and asks if he did it to be with her at the altar again. So she's the matron of honor? he asks. In the flesh, she says. Talking about flesh gives Ridge an idea; since Hope and R.J. are asleep, he suggests they slip upstairs. She tells him to go ahead while she closes up here and she'll meet him there.

A mysterious prowler stalks Ridge's house.
As Brooke shuts the lights, she spots a figure clad head to toe in black, wearing a ski mask, on the terrace. She screams for Ridge! The mystery figure bolts off as Ridge comes running down the stairs, asking his wife what's wrong. She tells him that someone is out there. He goes on the terrace and tries to give chase, but the masked figure makes it over the wall. He comes back to Brooke and they wonder who it could be. Whoever it was had to see the lights on, Ridge says, so it couldn't be a burglar. As he goes to call security, he wonders if it's a photographer trying to get a look at the wedding set-up. Brooke wonders if it has anything to do with the screaming woman who called earlier and tells Ridge about the call. Ridge is sure that whoever it is, security will catch them, but Brooke still looks frightened.

Nick tells Bridget that he can't wait to marry her.
Bridget shows up at the Shady Marlin. Nick asks if it's bad luck for her to be here, but she points out that she's not in her wedding gown. She knows Emily Post might not approve, but she wanted to be with her sexy fiance on his last night as a single man. She takes off his shirt and starts to kiss him, and before long, they're in bed making love. When they're done, Nick wonders what Emily Post would say about that, or about honeymoons for that matter. Bridget doesn't think they need advice on that. Nick says he has the jet fueled and he had her mom pack for her, so they can go anywhere she wants. She says they can go anywhere. She has only one request: she wants him to bring his guitar. Nick says he will. He can't wait to marry her, since looking at her makes her forget anyone else in the room. She thanks him for making her so happy and for picking her to be his wife. As "Soul Reason" starts playing, they kiss again.
