Bridget considers Nick's idea to get married tomorrow.
On the Shady Marlin, Bridget and Nick are kissing. Nick says he doesn't want to wait to get married. They can charter a fishing boat and get married off Catalina Island, or they can do it here on the Marlin. Bridget says there's not enough room here, but Nick thinks they can fit in a minister. What about their parents? she asks. Besides, she wants a perfect wedding, and that'll take time. Nick thinks they only need each other and a man of God. She says that's what she loves about him. She just wishes Ridge and her dad would come around. And then there's his parents, especially his mom. He says he plans to tell his parents today, although it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks. Bridget thinks all her fears will go away once they're man and wife. Then they should get married tomorrow, Nick says. At first, Bridget doesn't think they can, but then she recalls that her mom offered her and Ridge's house for the wedding. Nick doesn't think that's a good idea, because of the memories there. Which makes it the perfect place to let go of those memories, she says - unless he wants her to look for someplace else? OK, he says, her mom's place it is. She makes a to-do list and starts with getting dressed. Good luck with that one, he laughs. She asks if he has designs on her; nasty, despicable designs, he says, kissing her.

Massimo wonders why Nick called him over today.
After Bridget leaves, Massimo arrives and asks Nick what's so urgent that he had to leave an important meeting. Nick says he'll explain as soon as someone else gets here. Jackie comes on board and, seeing Nick with Massimo, offers to leave, but Nick tells her to stay, as he has important news to tell them and time is short. Mass asks if something's wrong and wonders if Nick is sick. Kind of, Nick says. Jackie guesses he's heartsick and is shipping out again. Actually, he says, it's the opposite: he's dropping anchor and marrying Bridget! Massimo is delighted by this wonderful news and hugs his son, but Jackie is silent. Nick looks over to his mom and clears his throat to get her attention; he sarcastically says that he knew he could count on her support. She asks when the wedding is. Tomorrow, he says. But that's too soon, Jackie insists!

Jackie has reservations about Nick's news.
Nick tells Jackie not to worry, as they have until tomorrow afternoon. Massimo says that's not right: the wedding should be in the morning, to make sure Bridget doesn't change her mind! Jackie tells the two of them to joke all they want, but marriage is a serious matter. Mass tells her to look at their son and see how happy he is: they should be happy for him, not negative. Nick says that Ridge is supplying the negativity, so Mass offers to take care of Ridge. He has to get back to the office now, but he can't wait until tomorrow. After Mass leaves, Nick looks to Jackie, who admits she was scared when he asked her over, because she really thought he was sailing, and running, away! Nick says he may be running, but it's in the right direction. Jackie asks if he's sure he's running TO Bridget and not FROM Brooke.

Nick tells his mom to stop that: he knows she loves him, but he doesn't want to hear about Brooke. But Brooke is still in his heart, Jackie says, so they have to discuss this. Nick admits Brooke left a scar that probably will never heal, and he's thought about sailing off more than once. But that's changed now that he's found Bridget. He knows he's found a woman who will wake up with him every morning and be there for the long haul. She asks what "the long haul" is; he says it's about family. He reminds her how he felt when he thought he was going to be a father, feelings he's had to suppress since then. He doesn't want to hold back anymore, and more importantly, he doesn't HAVE to with Bridget. Jackie says no one deserves a second chance at love more than him. And if Bridget is the woman who gave him that second chance, then she has his support. She's caused him so much pain and only wants to see him happy. She hugs and congratulates him, but over his shoulder, she doesn't look convinced.

Ridge frets that Bridget is marrying Nick.
Eric arrives at Forrester and finds Ridge at work. He looks at the sketch Ridge is working on - boho chic, he notes - and offers some suggestions. Ridge wonders if he'll have his dad looking over his shoulder all the time; Eric says that's the way he likes it, with the two of them collaborating. He has to admit though that he didn't think Ridge meant it literally last night when he said he was starting immediately. Ridge says he had a few things on his mind; he shows Eric a copy of EYE ON FASHION with Nick and Bridget on the cover, with the headline "Forrester Heiress to Marry Marone Heir," and laments that out of all the men in the world, Bridget had to choose Nick! Eric admits he's concerned that a drifter like Nick can't give Bridget the stable life she deserves. Ridge agrees; the only woman Nick ever committed to, he recalls, is Brooke. Eric says that fortunately, there's still time. Time for what? Bridget asks as she enters.

Bridget guesses that Eric and Ridge are talking about her wedding. She sees the magazine and wonders how they got the news when she and Nick haven't even announced it. Eric suggests issuing a denial, but Bridget doesn't see the need, since she's in love with Nick and marrying him tomorrow. Ridge is surprised that it's so soon; not only is it tomorrow, Bridget tells him, but he won't have to go far to get there since it's at his house. She tries to tell them how much she loves Nick, but Ridge says he just can't accept it [I guess he already forgot his promise to Brooke to try] and leaves. Eric tries to get Bridget to understand that they just need some time to accept this, since her future husband isn't the type to settle down. Bridget tells him that Nick will prove himself tomorrow. She understands Eric's feelings, but she thinks this wedding will bring the family together, after all the trouble with Amber, Morgan and Sheila, and even the differences between Nick and Ridge. Eric however thinks this sounds like an adolescent girl's fantasy and wishes he could believe that Nick can give her the love she deserves. Just then, Nick appears in the doorway and takes Eric's comment as a cue for the two of them to talk.

Eric carefully considers Nick's words.
Eric agrees that the time is right for them to talk. Nick says that he's tried to put himself in Eric's shoes, trying to understand what it's like to have raised such an amazing daughter, only to realize that it's time to let go and give her to a drifter who doesn't know much about marriage or family life. Eric asks if that's supposed to reassure him. Nick says it isn't, because he knows he can't. He can't even promise that he knows how to make somebody happy, or that he won't make mistakes. But he can show who he is and who he isn't to Eric - and what he isn't is a man who's jumping into this marriage lightly. He promises Eric that he's committed to Bridget and will do anything to make her happy, because he loves her. Bridget pleads with her dad to listen to what Nick has said. Eric says he's heard enough. He turns to Bridget and says he loves her and wants her to be happy. He looks to Nick and says he wants both of them to be happy.

Eric sticks his head outside, where Megan is reading the issue of EYE ON FASHION. He asks Megan if he can have that: he needs it for inspiration, as he's going to design the most incredible wedding gown of his career for his daughter.

A mystery figure stares at a torn magazine cover.
At a newsstand, someone wearing gloves and a trench-coat picks up a copy of the magazine, tears the cover off and tears it down the middle! The gloved figure then holds the two pieces of the cover and gazes at it.
