Ridge wishes he could remember when he lost his memory.
While Brooke lies asleep, Ridge sits in their bedroom. He recalls falling down the mineshaft and hitting his head, and then remembers someone punching him, although he can't make out who. Brooke wakes up, glad to have her husband home. Ridge says he's sorry for putting her through so much. She says it's not his fault. He says he's not talking about Morgan; he's talking about the kiss with Bridget. He recalls that it was innocent, without any romantic feelings. Brooke believes him and just wishes she had trusted him before. It was hard with that photo, Ridge admits. Brooke says she was worried about how vulnerable Bridget was, although she's not anymore since Bridget's moved on with Nick. Now Bridget's happy, and so is she now that her husband is home. Ridge just wishes he could remember exactly when he lost his memory; he has flashes, but... He pauses and says he doesn't want to talk about that now. All he wants is to enjoy his first morning home with his family and forget about that kiss. That kiss can't come between them now, Brooke says. They mock argue about which one of them loves the other more and kiss.

Bridget and Nick decide how to tell their families their news.
Aboard the Shady Marlin, Bridget wakes up in Nick's bed. Nick turns to her and sees her crying, and he guesses it was his snoring. Looking at her ring, she says she loved his snoring and everything about him, and she can't wait to spend the rest of her life with him. She's so glad it's not a dream. It's real, he assures her. He looks at her and tells her how beautiful she is, and he asks her to tell him what she's thinking. She says she's not thinking about anything; she's just listening to his heart. That heart is her's now, he says. She tells him how lucky she is to have him and wants to spend every minute telling him how grateful she is that he's her's. Nick suggests a quick Vegas wedding, right now, but Bridget would prefer to go tell their families their amazing news. Nick doesn't think her family will think it's amazing, but she, being an eternal optimist, is sure her family will be happy for them. They might need a little convincing, but she's sure they'll see in time how she and Nick are meant to be together. They start kissing. Bridget then suggests that she stay here with him. They have the rest of their lives ahead of them, Nick says, so he thinks she should go ahead and tell her family. They kiss again.

Thomas and R.J. help Brooke welcome Ridge home.
At Ridge's house, there's a big "Welcome Home, Daddy" banner on the wall. Ridge plays with R.J. as Hope runs in, calling out to “Daddy” that she's glad he's home. Thomas and Catherine follow Hope in as Ridge picks Hope up and apologizes for missing her recital. He asks if he can get a repeat performance; Thomas tells his dad to check with Hope's agent, since Nick signed her to an exclusive agreement. Catherine takes R.J. from Brooke and asks Hope to come with them so they can finish their welcome home surprise for Daddy. Once they're gone, Brooke says she hasn't seen Hope this happy since... Since Nick filled in for him at the recital, Ridge guesses. Brooke says he would have been there if he could, and Hope knows that. All that matters, Thomas says, is that he's home now. He knew his dad would never abandon them. Never, Ridge says, hugging his oldest child.

Eric and Stephanie are glad to see Ridge home.
Eric and Stephanie arrive and are glad to see Ridge home and looking well. Eric still can't believe that Ridge lost his memory and was dragged across the world by Morgan DeWitt. The worst part, Ridge says, was that he disconnected from Brooke, so he's glad his wife waited for him. Stephanie says Brooke never lost faith and held herself together for the family's sake, and she's proud of Brooke for doing that. Ridge is surprised to hear his mom praise Brooke and comments that things changed while he was gone. But one thing never changed, Brooke says - how much they all love him. Everyone is then treated to a special breakfast of blueberry muffins smothered in chocolate fudge -- it was just awful, Stephanie says, although it was sweet of the kids to think of it - and Ridge goes to get the kids off to school.
Brooke goes to check on Bridget and discovers that Bridget didn't come home last night. She knows Bridget had plans with Nick, so she calls her daughter to remind her of Ridge's homecoming. Bridget gets out of bed to answer her cell phone; Brooke asks her if she wants to be part of the celebration. Bridget says she does; in fact, she adds, looking at Nick in bed, she thinks they have lots to celebrate today. She promises to be home soon and hangs up. Eric overhears Brooke's call and frets that Bridget spent the night on Nick's boat; Stephanie and Brooke tell him not to jump to any conclusions.
Just then, Ridge closes the front door and pauses: he remembers that it was Nick who punched him! Brooke asks if he's OK. He tells her that it all came back to him: he was only able to see flashes before, but now he remembers that it was Nick who hit him! Brooke says that Nick didn't know the punch would make Ridge's concussion worse, but all Ridge can think about is how that S.O.B. Nick put them through hell! He opens the door and turns to leave; Stephanie calls out after him, but it's too late and Ridge is on his way to find Nick and confront him. Stephanie just hopes this doesn't get out of hand.

Bridget learns that Ridge went to confront Nick.
On the Shady Marlin, Bridget tells Nick that she should tell her family herself, since they can be a bit overprotective, especially her dad. Nick warns her not to let Ridge convince her that he [Nick] is corrupting her. No one will think that once she tells them about his proposal, she suggests. They say their goodbyes and she leaves for home, where she finds Brooke, Eric and Stephanie waiting. She asks where Ridge is, but Eric is more concerned that she spent last night with Nick. She tells her dad not to worry. Stephanie tells her that Eric is just concerned. But there's no need to, Bridget says, since she feels incredible after Nick proposed last night, and she accepted. Brooke and Stephanie congratulate her, but Eric is concerned. He wants Bridget to be happy, but he also wants her to be sure this is what she wants. It is, Bridget says. Stephanie thinks that's all they need to hear. Bridget asks again where Ridge is. He remembered that Nick punched him, Brooke explains, so he blames Nick for his memory loss and went to confront Nick. Oh, no, Bridget frets, as Eric predicts this won't be good for anyone.

Nick is stunned by Ridge's warning.
Ridge boards the Shady Marlin and looks around; he tells Nick that it must have been some night. Nick, surprised that Ridge isn't with his family, says he's glad Ridge is OK. He bets that Ridge's family is glad he's back with them. Ridge guesses that Nick isn't equally glad and suggests that Nick was loving every minute he was away, since it gave him the chance to weasel his way into Ridge's family and make them depend on him. Nick asks what Ridge is talking about. Ridge says it's about Nick taking advantage of a situation that Nick himself caused - because Ridge would never have been kept away from his family at all, and his family wouldn't have ever thought he abandoned them, if it wasn't for Nick punching him. Nick can't believe what he's hearing; he can understand why Ridge would be upset, but it's not like he intentionally hit Ridge to make him lose his memory. And as for his being involved with Ridge's family while Ridge was missing, Nick reminds Ridge that he was helping the family in Ridge's absence. Ridge smugly proclaims that he's not buying it. He knows what Nick was REALLY up to, which is why he's ordering Nick to stay away from Brooke, from Bridget and from his entire family! He asks Nick if he's being clear about this: he's warning Nick to stay totally clear of his family!
