Bridget tells Nick how he makes her feel.
|
By Ridge's pool, the rain pours down around Nick and Bridget. She asks him to tell her again that he loves her. He says it again and asks if the wetness on her face is from teardrops or raindrops. Both, she cries, since she's happier now than she's ever been, thanks to his love. He says he feels the same way. Bridget wonders which of them is crazier; he says that's a loaded question and tells her how beautiful she looks in the rain. It's not the rain, she says, but their love. He tells her to forget the past, since they have their future ahead of them. Bridget says she's excited about her future for the first time. She always worried about everything in life but finding the right man, but he's made her see how silly that was, since he was right in front of her all along. He's taught her to live for the moment and enjoy every moment they're together, and she wants to do that, starting right now!

Nick asks Bridget to wait until tomorrow night.
|
Bridget takes Nick's shirt off as they passionately kiss each other. They go at each other as Bridget pulls Nick down onto one of the chaise lounges. She tells him how sexy he is, and how sexy he makes her feel. As “Soul Reason” plays in the background, Nick removes Bridget's blouse. They keep at each other until Nick suddenly pulls back. He reminds her of her promise to herself to wait until she's married to make love. She says that's not important; all that matters is that they love each other, so it's OK if they make love right now. But it has to be right, Nick says. Bridget says it will be, as long as she's with him. She pulls him closer, but he pulls back. He doesn't want to do this now. He tells her to wait until tomorrow night; he promises her something very special then.

Brooke tells Thomas to believe in his father.
|
Thomas comes home and finds Brooke staring at a plate of food. He tells her that she should eat something. She asks how his trig exam went, but he's more concerned about how she's holding up with his dad still missing. She reminds him that they're close to finding Ridge. But they shouldn't have to hunt for him, Thomas says; he still can't believe that his father would stay away this long over a fight they had. He can understand where his dad might need some time to blow off some steam, but he'd never just walk out on his kids.
Brooke says she knows in her heart that Ridge would never intentionally leave his children. Thomas asks if that means she thinks something's happened to his dad. She says that they can never lose faith in Ridge's devotion to his family. She's sure Ridge will find his way back to them. Thomas is surprised that Brooke still believes in his father, even after all this. She admits it was hard at first, especially with the harsh things Ridge said in his e-mail and voice message. She even refused to believe that it was from Ridge at first. Then she remembered the love she and Ridge share and knew that she could always believe in that, even when everything else didn't make sense. Thomas says he believes in his dad, too; he intends to tell Ridge how lucky he is to have a wife like Brooke once he finally makes it home to them. Brooke smiles and thanks Thomas with a hug, but she still looks worried as she embraces him.

Massimo tells Jackie that Ridge left Cafe Russe with a woman.
|
Aboard the Marone jet, Massimo tells Jackie that they've tracked Ridge to Italy, and the FBI has notified local law enforcement there. With his contacts and influence, Jackie predicts, it's only a matter of time before Ridge is back home with Brooke and the kids. Massimo is silent; Jackie asks what's wrong. He tells her what he learned from the bartender at Cafe Russe, that Ridge had left the restaurant with a woman. If Ridge is having an affair... That would be inexcusable, Jackie says, since Ridge would be breaking his wedding vows and shirking his commitments to his family. She can understand how Ridge might feel empty because Brooke let him down, but the passion of a quick fling can't fill his heart like years of history and family can.
Jackie tells Massimo that she's so sorry. Mass asks if she thinks Brooke should forgive Ridge if he is in fact having an affair. She says that's for Brooke to decide; the only thing she knows is that Ridge will be very sorry if he continues down his present path. Massimo reminds her that Ridge and Brooke have been to hell and back together, so maybe they can overcome this for their family's sake. Jackie pours him a drink and thanks him for letting her come with him. He tells her, Que sera, sera [which translates to ‘Whatever will be, will be,’ like the Doris Day song] and thanks her. She assures him that they will find Ridge and bring him home.

Amber figures out what's wrong with Ridge.
|
In Venice, Ridge asks Amber who she is. Amber would rather know who the woman in the shower is. Ridge guesses Amber knows him; better than he knows himself, she says, warning him not to try sucking up to her with this act now that she's caught him with another woman. She's sure his wife will kick him to the curb once she finds out. If she means Brooke, he says, he already talked to her, and she told him that they were through. He can't understand why Amber would care if Brooke doesn't. Amber concedes his point, but she's not about to let him just be a jerk and run off to another country, leaving his wife and kids behind. Wait, he says: he has kids? Of course he does, she says. As Ridge wonders whether to believe this stranger, Amber starts to consider that he really doesn't remember. Or is he playing her for a fool? she asks. Ridge says that he's the one who's been played, since Brooke told him they didn't have any kids. As Amber senses something seriously wrong, Ridge asks her to tell him about his kids..
Amber asks Ridge what he wants to know. He tells her to start with his kids' names. She mentions Phoebe and Steffy, and Steffy's name sounds familiar to him. She then tells him about Brooke's daughter, Hope, their son R.J. and his charming, wonderful first born, Thomas. They're all worried sick about him, Amber explains, and they have no idea where he is. Ridge says the doctor said something about post-concussion syndrome, which Amber immediately traces back to the mineshaft incident. She asks how he wound up here. A woman who seems to know him brought him here to get him help, he explains; her name is Morgan. Not Morgan DeWitt? Amber asks. Yes, Ridge confirms. Amber figures out that it's Morgan in the shower and tells Ridge that they have to get him out of here! Ridge asks what's going on; she says she'll explain more later, but he's in danger now. He asks her to take him back to his family. She says she will. She tells him to get his clothes and passport and hurry while she calls Brooke.

Morgan pulls the plug on Amber’s plan.
|
Amber frantically calls Brooke and tells her that she has Ridge. They're in Venice, and she wants Brooke to do what she tells her. She says that Ridge needs... but just then, the line goes dead! In L.A., Brooke thinks Amber hung up and frantically wonders what Amber has done to her husband. But in Venice, Amber is stunned to see that Morgan has pulled the phone plug from the wall!
