Amber prepares to confront the two-timing Ridge.
In Venice, Amber can't believe her eyes: Ridge is in the hotel across the canal! She wonders why he followed her here. At first, she assumes it's a jet-lag induced hallucination, but she looks through her camera again and sees that it really is Ridge - with a woman who isn't Brooke! As she tries to get a look at the mystery woman, she berates herself for feeling guilty about what she did to that two-timing slime-ball Ridge. Ridge and the woman step back inside before Amber can get a look at the woman. Amber then wonders what she should do. She recalls how opening her big mouth got her into trouble last time and figures no one would believe her anyway, so she considers not doing anything. But if she keeps quiet, she supposes, Ridge will get away with it. Deciding that Brooke has a right to know that her no-good husband is cheating on her, Amber heads over to confront Ridge.

Morgan asks Ridge to give her back what she lost.
Across the canal, Ridge tells Morgan he's sorry; she's a beautiful woman, but he can't make love to her with this other woman on his mind. Morgan admits she has something to say that she should have told him earlier. Ridge sees her shaking and asks what's wrong. She asks him to listen to her with an open heart. When she saw him in L.A., she explains, all the old feelings came back and she felt whole again. She hopes he can imagine what that's like, to suddenly feel like he has a second chance to be happy. Ridge wishes he could remember what they shared, but he feels like he belongs with this woman he sees in his head. Morgan admits that the woman he's seeing is the woman he belongs with - and she's going to send him back to that woman once he gives her one thing: she wants him to give her their baby back. Ridge asks how that's possible. She tells him that she sees now that he belongs with his family and not with her, but she still feels lost without the child his mother talked her into aborting. That's why she wants him to impregnate her: she promises to leave him alone if he does, and he'd never have to see the child or her again. Ridge however doesn't think he could just father a child and abandon it. Then be part of their lives, she begs, but don't deny her the chance to fill the emptiness in her heart.

Ridge doesn't even recognize Amber.
Morgan suggests to Ridge that they go take a walk along the canals so he can clear his head. Ridge doesn't think a walk will change his mind, but she begs him to at least think about it. She then goes to shower and change before their walk. Once she's gone, there's a knock at the door. Ridge opens it and comes face to face with Amber, who asks ‘Ridge “Casanova” Forrester’ where his mystery lady is. Ridge asks Amber if he knows her. Not as well as she knows him, she boasts, thinking she has him dead to rights.

Stephanie asks Brooke how she feels about Bridget getting serious with Nick.
Brooke drops by the Forrester mansion and tells Stephanie how Massimo traced Ridge to Northern Italy. Stephanie still can't believe that Ridge wants to go on with his life without him, but she's sure Massimo will find him - and even if he doesn't, Ridge is well known there and is bound to be recognized. Brooke says she just wants Ridge to come home. Stephanie sees the toll this is taking on Brooke and reminds Brooke that she doesn't have to carry this burden alone. Brooke says she's not: Eric is covering for her at Forrester while Nick and Bridget are helping with the kids. Speaking of Nick and Bridget, Stephanie comments that they seem to be getting quite close; in fact, she thinks Bridget may be falling for Nick. Brooke asks what woman wouldn't be swept off her feet when treated like Nick is treating Bridget. Stephanie wonders if Brooke has a problem with that.

Brooke wonders if Nick can tell Bridget he loves her.
Brooke explains that Nick is more complicated than he seems. She knows Bridget is falling for Nick, but she wonders if Nick feels the same way. Stephanie guesses that Brooke's worried that Nick still has feelings for her. Brooke says that's not it: she and Nick talked, and she told him that she's committed to her marriage. She also told him that Bridget deserves someone who's committed to her. Stephanie thinks Nick seems genuine. Brooke agrees, but she also recalls how vulnerable Bridget was when she came back from Copenhagen. Then Nick charged in like a white knight and rescued Bridget, but Brooke can't help remember how hurt Nick was when their relationship ended. Stephanie asks what her point is. Brooke wonders if Nick can look Bridget in the eye and say “I love you.”

Hope tells Uncle Nick she loves him.
Nick is playing Blackjack with Bridget and Hope by Ridge's pool. When Bridget wins again, Nick suggests they go to Vegas, but Hope wants to play dollies instead. Nick politely declines and offers to throw her in the pool instead, but Bridget thinks she should put Hope down for her nap first. Hope asks Nick if he'll be here when she wakes up; he says he will. Hope tells “Uncle Nick” she loves him; he says he loves her too and gives her a hug. As he holds Hope, Nick recalls all the good times he's spent with her; “Bring It On” plays over a montage of past Nick/Hope moments. Hope asks Bridget if Daddy Ridge will be here when she wakes up; Bridget says she doesn't know and takes Hope up to the house for her nap. Once they're gone, Nick has a wistful look on his face.

Bridget apologizes for upsetting Nick.
Bridget returns shortly after and asks Nick if he's OK, since she saw the look on his face when Hope said she loved him. He says he's Hope's “good old Uncle Nick” and nothing will change that. He recalls that he never wanted kids, but then Brooke got pregnant with the child he thought was his and everything changed. He thought he, Brooke, Hope and their baby would be a family. He was going to be a father to those kids, and he didn't realize how much that meant to him until he had to walk away from the life he planned for them. Bridget is sorry she brought this up and upset him, but he says he wants -- he HAS to talk about it. He thinks she has to know how much that hurt him. He was going to adopt Hope and be her dad, and in his heart, he already WAS her dad. He doesn't think he's ever admitted until now, even to himself, how much that loss hurt, and he just wishes he could come to peace with those feelings.

A rain-soaked Nick tells Bridget he loves her.
Nick apologizes to Bridget for laying this on her. She says it's OK; she just feels badly that he decided to never have a child of his own. As it starts to rain, Nick asks what she means. She points out that he said he never wanted to feel the way he did about Hope again. He says he was just talking about being a father to Hope, since trying to be that isn't fair to Hope or him. So would he want to have a child of his own someday? she asks. Nick says he doesn't know, but he guesses he would. She thinks he'd be a great dad. Nick sees it's raining; Bridget says she knows; she loves the rain. She embraces him and asks if she scared him by talking about children. He asks if he looks scared. She says no. He asks what she wants; she says she's worried because they haven't known each other that long and doesn't want to get ahead of herself. He tells her to ahead and say it. She says she wants a family of her own. He says she'd make a very good mom. As the rain pours down around them, he then says “I love you.” As he strokes her hair, she asks if he does. He says it again. She says she loves him, too. Getting soaked by the rain, they start kissing passionately.
