Nick flirts with Sasha by the pool.
At the Forrester mansion, Bridget introduces Nick to his date, Sasha the orangutan. Nick goes along with it and tells Sasha he's pleased to meet her. Sasha's chauffeur says Sasha's pleased to meet Nick, too. Nick asks Sasha if she'd like to go to the pool and get to know each other better; Sasha thinks about it but then takes Nick's hand and lets him lead her to the pool. Bridget follows and, with a big smile on her face, watches Nick flirt with Sasha. As "Loving You" by Minnie Ripperton plays, we see Nick having fun with his date. They blow kisses at each other. They play the back of Nick's guitar like a bongo drum. Nick feeds her bananas and she watches him eat some ribs. An amused Bridget watches their antics, laughing and smiling at how Nick treats his date.

Eric and Stephanie watch Nick's blind date from the balcony.
From the balcony, Eric and Stephanie watch Nick, Sasha and Bridget. Stephanie admires Bridget's sense of humor. Eric agrees and is glad to see Nick being a good sport about this. He sees Nick bringing out the devil in Bridget. Stephanie hopes Nick doesn't bring out the devil in Sasha. She says, "I think she likes him." And why shouldn't Bridget like a charmer like Nick? Eric asks. Stephanie says she was talking about the monkey. They're both glad to see Bridget laughing. Stephanie notes how Bridget seems in better spirits around Nick and thinks they should be all for those two spending time together. Eric's not as sure; he wants Bridget to be over Ridge as much as Stephanie does, but he thinks they need to give Bridget time to get her life together. But if being with Nick has a good effect on Bridget, Stephanie says, they should be supportive. Eric doesn't look convinced.

Bridget's impressed by Nick's reaction to his date.
After escorting Sasha back to her chauffeur and bidding her goodbye, Nick asks Bridget if she saw any chemistry between him and his date. Undeniably, Bridget laughs: she thinks she was right that he and Sasha were perfect together. And she knew that because she knows him so well? Nick asks. He laughs that he set her up with a doctor, but she set him up with a monkey. Orangutan, she corrects. Whatever, he says, guessing she thinks she's pretty clever. Actually, she says, she's impressed that he rolled with the joke and didn't even blink. Most men couldn't do that. Just then, Nick pretends to get a call from Sasha asking him out to a double feature of "King Kong" and "Planet of the Apes." Bridget says he made his point. He tells her you have to be available, since you never know when the right person - or orangutan - may come along. She says she gets it. Nick thanks her for today.

Clarke wonders how Amber hopes to save Ridge and his marriage.
At Spectra, Clarke comes into Sally's office and asks where Amber is. He's been waiting for her designs. Amber missed their meeting to hold Ridge Forrester's marriage together, Sally and Darla tell him. What for? Clarke asks. Darla explains that Amber went there to show Brooke how her husband is caught in a downward spiral. Clarke says that's been obvious for months. But Brooke doesn't see it, Darla says. And apparently, Sally adds, Amber found proof that Brooke can't ignore. Clarke wonders what Amber thinks she can do. Sally thinks Amber's too sharp to go over there unless she had something that could take the great Ridge down. Darla doesn't think Amber wants to hurt the Forresters, but just wants to be in their family. Sally doubts Ridge will ever let that happen.

Amber tells Ridge she came to Brooke to help his family.
At Ridge's house, he stares at the photo of him and Bridget and tells Brooke that this isn't what it looks like. Brooke points out that he's touching Bridget in the photo, and the look in his eyes is the way he looks at her [Brooke]. If he wasn't coming on to her daughter, what was he doing? She thinks it looks like he was about to kiss her. Ridge says they'd never do that. But they did in the past, Brooke reminds him. Nothing happened now, Ridge insists, but Brooke can't believe him. Ridge looks to Amber and says, "You did this!" She says she did it for him and his family. Do he and Brooke look grateful? he asks. He pleads with Brooke to believe that nothing happened. But he promised he wouldn't cross the line, she says. She believed him when he said it was in the past, but seeing this picture, she wonders if he and Bridget are really past their feelings. They are, Ridge says: in fact, that's what they were talking about when Amber took that picture. Brooke has a hard time believing they were just talking. She points out that he knew how fragile Bridget is, and this is how he protects her?

Ridge tells Brooke that Bridget was happy. She spent the evening with Nick and was feeling good about herself for the first time in ages. He was so happy to hear that, and he had no idea that he was being spied on. Amber says he just didn't think he'd be caught. He asks her who she thinks she is: first she seduces his son, and now she's driving a wedge between him and his wife? But it won't work, he says: no matter what she thinks she saw, Brooke knows he wouldn't jeopardize their marriage or hurt Bridget. But he did, Amber says, and he could again: in fact, maybe he already has. She wouldn't know, since she left after snapping the photo and didn't see what came next. What comes next, Ridge tells her, is that she'll leave his family alone. She says she's trying to stop trouble, not cause it. After hearing him talk with Stephanie, she knew his being with Bridget would hurt his marriage. So she spied on him, he says. She says she didn't try to trap him. She just wants him to see how his anger and arrogance are digging him into a deep, dark hole. He's lashed out at her, Thorne, Darla and Eric out of anger and it has to stop. Ridge thinks he has a right to be angry. But he doesn't, Amber insists: he has all he wants in life. What he wants, Ridge says, is her out of his house, so he kicks her out the door!

Ridge pleads with Brooke to believe him.
With Amber gone, Ridge asks a tearful Brooke to believe that he would never put their family at risk. He knows that picture upset her, and he doesn't blame her for that. What about Bridget? she asks. He's hurting her every time he looks at her. She even ran away to Europe to get away from those feelings. Bridget's OK now, he says. She's not running away anymore. Brooke fears history is repeating itself, since her daughter is still caught up in those feelings, feelings that were real to her. She thinks Bridget deep down still wants him. Ridge says that's not true. But Bridget said it was true when she came home, she says. That's why she [Brooke] warned him that crossing the line again would cost them their marriage. Their marriage is fine, he says, and so is Bridget. In fact, he suggests she call Bridget and ask her what happened that night. Bridget felt good about herself then and was ready to move on, he insists, and that was just an innocent hug. No, Broke says, it was a horrible. intimate moment between Bridget and a man she's impossibly in love with. She knows how that feels.

Ridge says Bridget has nothing to be ashamed of. If anyone should be ashamed, it's Amber, for trying to stir up a scandal in their family as an act of revenge. No matter how this looks, he insists, nothing happened, and if he's hurt her or Bridget, he's sorry. He pleads with her to believe him that this isn't what it looks like and nothing happened.
