It's breakfast time at Ridge's Bel Air mansion. Ridge makes his "famous" harvest nut and grain pancakes, but no one wants any and he wants to know why. Thomas says he's watching his weight for Roxbury's winter formal. Bridget recalls her days at Roxbury and asks Thomas if he's competing in the dance contest. He says he and Caitlin are thinking about it. Caitlin? Ridge asks. Does that mean...? Thomas says he's still with Amber, despite his dad meddling at the Jackie M bash. But Amber's not big on high school dances, so he and Caitlin are going as friends. Speaking of his involvement with Amber, Bridget says, she understands and wants to talk to him about it. Before they can get into it, however, Thomas gets a photo message on his cell phone from Amber. Pleased with that he sees, he rushes over to see her. As he leaves, Bridget gets a call on her cell. While Ridge laments all the cell calls interrupting breakfast, Bridget takes the call from Nick, who asks her to come down to Chuck's for some fun. Bridget thinks he's up to something, but agrees to come. She bids her mom and Ridge goodbye and leaves.

Brooke tells Ridge about Stephanie's concerns.
Alone with Brooke, Ridge asks if she's OK, since she tossed and turned all night and has been quiet all morning. She explains that she went to see Stephanie to assure her that things were under control with Bridget. Stephanie however didn't believe her. After asking Catherine to take the kids upstairs, Brooke tells Ridge more about her visit with his mom. She knows Stephanie's just concerned in her own way, but she can't shake the feeling that Stephanie's up to her old tricks. She wishes she hadn't told Stephanie about seeing him comforting Bridget after the Jackie M party. Ridge reminds her that he told her that's all that was. Brooke says she knows that, but Stephanie fears there's more going on; that's why his mom doesn't want him anywhere near Bridget. Ridge can't believe that his mother thinks he would crossed the line. Brooke fears that Stephanie might even confront Bridget over this, which is the last thing Bridget needs. Ridge agrees; he doesn't want Brooke or Bridget to be hounded by his mother over this, so he's going over to the mansion right now to put a stop to this.

Amber gets upset when Thomas tells her how his dad really feels.
At Amber's Forrester guest house home, Thomas arrives and asks if the photo she sent was what he thought it was. It sure was, she says: she got floor seat tickets for the Lakers game against Miami. She shows him the tickets. Excited about seeing Shaq face off with Kobe, Thomas can't wait, but then he sees the game date is the same night as the Roxbury formal. Really? Amber asks, trying to act surprised. Thomas says he'll have to pass on the game: he promised Caitlin they'd compete in the dance contest and he doesn't want to... Disappoint her, Amber finishes. Thomas thanks her for understanding. He then looks again at the tickets and sees there are four of them. Amber says she wanted to invite his dad and Brooke to join them, to thank Ridge for his show of support at the Jackie M bash. Thomas thinks that's a cool idea, but he has something to tell her. Amber guesses that Brooke's still against her and asks if that's putting his dad in a bad spot. Actually, he says, it's his dad who's against her.

Amber can't believe it. She and Ridge got along so well at the party. That's what his dad wanted her to believe, Thomas says. Actually, his dad only danced with her to give him some time alone with Caitlin. His dad thought if he was alone with Caitlin, they might get together. But it didn't work, and he let Ridge know that. He just hopes his dad didn't get her hopes up. Amber feels like an idiot: she really thought Ridge wanted to give her a chance. Thomas tells her not to blame herself. No matter what anyone else says, he knows how good they are for each other, and if his dad can't see that, it's his loss. Nearly in tears, Amber wonders why it has to be this way. She loves his family and just wants to be accepted by them, so it hurts a lot to know that Ridge was playing her and nothing has changed. She leans her head on Thomas's shoulder.

Nick introduces Bridget to his friend Johnny.
At Chuck's, Nick waits with a handsome friend named Johnny who's surprised at Capt. Marone turning matchmaker. Nick tells him that Bridget's a good kid who needs to steer past a few squalls. He thinks she and Johnny have a lot in common and might hit it off. Bridget arrives and spots Nick. He invites her over to that table and introduces her (as "Dr. Bridget Forrester") to his friend, Dr. Johnny Berlanti. Bridget tells him she's actually not a doctor. But she plays one on TV, Johnny quips. He apologizes for the bad joke and invites Bridget to join them. Nick tells Bridget that his buddy is actually a funny guy, even if he's a bit jet lagged. He asks Johnny to explain. Johnny tells Bridget that he's been working on an outreach program in Africa for Marone Industries, and he's now been asked to run the program here in L.A. Pretty impressive, Nick says. Bridget bets Johnny's family must be proud. Ephram and Ami are, he says. Bridget guesses those are his parents, but he says those are his Irish setters. But he thinks that's enough about him and wants to hear about her instead, especially since Nick says her life's pretty interesting lately.

Bridget hesitates when Johnny offers a dinner invitation.
Bridget gets the feeling that Johnny knows all about her already and asks Nick if she's right. Before he can answer, Nick gets a call on his cell and excuses himself to take it. Alone with Bridget, Johnny wants to know about her. Nick said she was living in Europe, right? She explains that she was going to med school in Denmark, but she's taking a break to spend time with her family. Which might be the medicine she needs, Johnny says. Bridget asks about his past, but he notes that she's making this conversation about him and turns it back to her. Off to the side, Nick watches, looking pleased as Johnny tells Bridget that he likes what he sees. He'd like to learn more - maybe over dinner? Bridget hesitates. Johnny hopes he's not being too forward. Nick comes over and asks what's forward about asking a beautiful woman to dinner. Bridget admits that his heart is in the right place. And maybe her heart should be in a different place, Nick suggests.

Eric can't believe Stephanie's fears about Ridge and Bridget.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric learns from Stephanie that Bridget broke off her engagement to Oscar. Eric hopes Oscar didn't do anything to hurt her, since if he did... Stephanie tells him that he's missing the point. There's a reason Bridget didn't tell anyone, even her own father, about her broken engagement - and that reason is because she still has feelings for Ridge. Eric can't believe she's saying this. Ridge and Bridget got over those feelings months ago. Ridge is now happily married to Bridget's mother, and Bridget's too moral to come on to her mother's husband. Stephanie's not denying that. However, at the same time, she knows that powerful emotions, like those Bridget had for Ridge, are hard to control. so any lingering feelings she has could be disastrous for their family. Eric tells her that she's wrong: he knows his daughter, and he can't imagine her getting hung up on Ridge again any more than he can see Ridge pursuing her. Stephanie says he sounds like Brooke. Eric can't believe she brought this up to Brooke: what was she thinking? She says she's just concerned, but Eric won't hear another word about this. He can't believe she would be so insensitive by overreacting this way, especially when it hurts the people they love. He then says he has to leave and tells Stephanie he'll call her later.

Stephanie tries to get Ridge to see her point.
Just after Eric leaves, Ridge comes in: he tells his mother he has to talk to her. She guesses Brooke gave him an earful. This isn't about Brooke, he tells his mother. It's about her and the insanity she's passing off as concern. Stephanie can't believe that he doesn't see a problem with having Bridget in his house: can't he see the damage that could cause to their family and his marriage? Ridge sees he sees no damage, because there is none. He loves his wife. They share a son, and he would never give them up for a fling with Brooke's daughter. Stephanie thinks he's denying how alluring Bridget is to him: she knows they have feelings for each other and wants Ridge to admit it. Ridge says there's nothing to admit. Stephanie says she heard that before, which is what concerns her. She sees in Bridget the same qualities she saw in Caroline and Taylor, and she fears he's tempting fate having a young woman so like his first two wives living in his home. She knows he didn't mean for anything to happen, but something did, and she fears it could happen again.

Ridge admits he should have seen what was happening with Bridget and stopped it, and he regrets that he didn't. He especially regrets how much his inaction hurt both Brooke and Bridget, so he's not going to repeat that. Maybe not intentionally, Stephanie says. But all it takes is one moment, one slip. Why should he risk that, and risk losing his wife and his baby boy. She urges him to think about that, for the sake of their family. She's only trying to protect him, which is why she's urging him to get Bridget out of his home before she costs him his whole world.
