Stephanie implores Brooke not to let Bridget stay in L.A.
Brooke stops by the Forrester mansion to talk to Stephanie about Ridge and Bridget. She assures Stephanie that nothing's going on between Ridge and Bridget, so she wants Stephanie to stop suggesting something is just to stir up trouble. Stephanie says she was just trying to help. But she wasn't, Brooke says, which is why she wants Stephanie to lay off. Ridge and Bridget are over each other now, and Bridget will be living with them... Stephanie can't believe it: Bridget isn't going back to Copenhagen? Brooke thinks Bridget needs time to heal, but Stephanie thinks that will never happen while she's living in Ridge's home, the same place they got confused about their feelings in the first place! Brooke tells Stephanie not to make her feel paranoid. Stephanie says she's not: in fact, she wants to save Brooke's marriage, which is why Brooke needs to keep things from getting out of control again. Brooke says they won't: she made it clear to Ridge that if it does, their marriage is over.
Stephanie's glad Brooke laid down the law, but she wonders why Brooke felt that was necessary. Brooke says she felt Ridge needed to be warned that he was giving Bridget mixed signals. Mixed signals? Stephanie asks. Brooke says it wasn't a big deal: she saw Ridge comforting Bridget after Jackie M's party. He was holding her, and then he called her princess. Stephanie is stunned: that's just the kind of behavior that got them in trouble! She implores Brooke to put a stop to this right now! Brooke thinks Stephanie is making too much of this. Stephanie pleads with Brooke: she's sure Brooke sees deep down that she's right. She knows that Brooke really cares about the family after standing up to Ridge for Eric, and she needs her to step in again here for the family's sake. If she doesn't, she could lose everything. Brooke insists that her husband and daughter won't cross the line.

Nick wonders why Bridget changed her mind.
Nick finds a bikini clad Bridget sitting out by Ridge's pool reading. He tells her that he saw how she eyed his food at Chuck's the other day, so he brought her some ribs and corn dogs to enjoy before she heads back to Europe. He then realizes that she's here in a swimsuit and doesn't have her bags packed, so he thinks something's rotten. Bridget tells him she's not leaving: she'll be staying in L.A. But she was so sure that leaving was the only answer, Nick reminds her. She tells him that she had a heart to heart chat with her mom, who now sees what she's going through and asked her to stay. Nick can't believe that she changed her mind and wonders if she's afraid. She reminds him that he told her not to run from her problems, which is just what she'd be doing by going back to Copenhagen. Besides, she'd be lonely and isolated over there. And how's she going to feel living here, he asks, watching her mom and Ridge together while she's stuck here with the kids? She tells him not to make her sound like she's jealous of her mom, since she's not. Nick says it's not about jealousy. It's not about a tiny problem. He thinks her living in the same house as Ridge is just asking for trouble.

Ridge and Bridget say everything's fine.
Ridge comes down to the pool and overhears. He tells Nick that Bridget's staying here because it's where she belongs. While he appreciates Nick's concern, he thinks they have to work this out as a family, which they can do now that everything's out in the open. But knowing there's a problem doesn't solve it, Nick says. Ridge says they're handling it. Nick can't see how, but Bridget assures him that Ridge is right. She's sure everything will be fine. Saying it won't make it true, Nick warns her. Neither will running around paranoid about it, Ridge says. Nick can't believe he's the only one who sees something wrong about the two of them splashing around in the pool together. Bridget tells him it's OK. Ridge thinks they've said enough and asks Nick to back off. Nick tells Ridge that he might think he's helping, but he's not. Ridge thinks Nick's the one who isn't helping: he thinks Nick is upsetting Bridget and ticking him off, so he asks Nick to leave. Nick warns Ridge not to repeat his mistakes. Ridge says he doesn't need Nick's advice: Bridget is staying and Nick's not, and that's it. Nick leaves.
Ridge tells Bridget not to let Nick bother her. She thinks Nick's just concerned, but Ridge thinks Nick doesn't understand how their family works. They don't bottle things up. No, Bridget agrees, they air their dirty laundry in the open. Ridge prefers to think that they see problems and deal with them. Then he agrees with Nick that her staying here is a problem? Bridget asks. It would have been if they hadn't talked to her mom, he says. Now that they have, he thinks they agree nothing's wrong. He asks Bridget is she's going in the pool; he thinks that will make her feel better. She says no thanks. Ridge recalls how they used to come down here every night when she stayed here, after she put the kids to bed. Bridget starts to feel uncomfortable and turns to go in, but Ridge tells her to wait. He didn't want to drive her off. He suggests she return to reading her book while he does some laps. She won't even know he's there. Bridget sits down and starts reading again, but she can't help but glance over when she hears the splash of Ridge jumping in the pool.

Darla listens to Thorne make his proposal.
At the Cafe Russe, Darla and Sally wait for Thorne and Clarke. Sally frets about the conversation they overheard between Thorne and Ridge: she fears Thorne might accept Ridge's offer to return to Forrester. Darla tells Sally to stop worrying about it or they'll leave before Thorne even gets here; she's sure Thorne doesn't want to jump ship. Ridge's plea was quite moving, Sally says. Darla thinks Ridge is all talk. Clarke arrives and asks what's up. Sally tells him how she overheard Ridge's passionate plea for Thorne to return to Forrester; she fears Thorne listened once Ridge played the family card. Before Clarke or Darla can say much more, Thorne arrives. He sees the serious looks and wonders what's going on. Darla asks where he's been; he says he was fielding calls about the sales figures all day. Is that why he's late? Sally asks. Thorne says he was thinking and has something he'd like to talk to Sally about alone. Sally says they're all family here, so Thorne can speak freely. In that case, Thorne says, he has a proposal for her: he wants 50% of Spectra Couture's profits.

Sally and Clarke are stunned by Thorne's proposal.
Sally is shocked. She reminds Thorne that he has a contract, one that pays him quite well. Thorne admits she's right, but he also thinks people work harder when they have a stake in the business. That's why, as much as he appreciates everything Sally's done for him, he wants her to put her money where her mouth is. He tells them that Ridge offered to give up control at Forrester if he'll return, and he's willing to consider that offer unless Sally's willing to make him an equal partner. Clarke asks Thorne if he believes Ridge. Thorne answers that he thinks Ridge finally trusts his judgement. He's proud of what he and Sally have done at Spectra, but he thinks Sally knows how much of that success came because his name was attached. Sally tells Thorne that doesn't give him a right to a piece of the pie. He didn't risk his life's savings for Spectra the way she did. Thorne admits she's taken risks, and he's willing to as well. He offers to give up his salary in return for a share in the profits. He wants Spectra to be a success, but he thinks he needs more control to take them to the next level.
Sally can't believe Thorne wants more after what she's done for him. He says this is about more than money. It's about him being accountable for his name, the one that's on their label. He thinks that's leadership, and that entitles him to an equal split of the profits - take it or leave it. Sally doesn't look happy.
