Thorne and Darla are surprised at the new sales figures.
At Spectra, Thorne and Darla arrive to find Sally reviewing the latest sales figures. Sally proudly shows them that Spectra is up another 15% in sales, without even counting their sales at Jackie-M, while Forrester has stayed flat. She attributes the surge to the buzz about their line at the Jackie-M party combined with her own P.R. efforts. Speaking of those P.R. efforts, Thorne says, she never showed him the ads she was tweaking. He hopes she's not trying to pull one over on him. Sally's wounded to think that Thorne would accuse her of something like that, but just then, Eric barges in with a Spectra ad in hand and asks Thorne if he's responsible for this. Thorne and Darla are shocked to see that the words "Thorne Forrester" in the ad's logo are twice as big as "Spectra Couture". Sally shakes her head in disbelief: she can't believe this happened and is sure the printer must have made a mistake. But then Clarke comes in, raving about how the printer did what she asked. He says, "Wait till Eric Forrester gets a load of..." but stops when he sees Eric is there.

Eric wants to know what Thorne intends to do about the Spectra ad.
Thorne, Darla and Eric look to Sally. Thorne demands an explanation. Sally tries to cover, but then admits that she made an executive decision to change the logo without consulting anyone. She thinks she had the right, since she owns this joint. And besides, Eric never made any stipulations about font size when he allowed Spectra to use the Forrester name in their logo. Eric tells Sally to stop it. He then turns to Thorne and reminds him that this is just what Ridge was worried about. Ridge left Forrester over his concern that Spectra would take advantage, and now Thorne has proven his brother right. Thorne says he's sorry. Eric doesn't want an apology. He wants to know what Thorne intends to do about this. Thorne says he'll pull the ads right away. And will he 86 Sally, too? Eric asks. Sally takes offense to that, but Eric points out that this abuse of the trademark is just the kind of stunt Sally is famous for. He thought he had Thorne's promise not to take advantage.

Clarke and Sally give their word to play fair.
Thorne says that he intends to live up to that promise. He had no idea this was going on, but now that he does, he gives his word, and Sally's, that it won't happen again. He looks to Sally, who sees how bothered Eric is and adds her own apology. She says they don't want to topple the House of Forrester. They only want to compete. And they'll do so fairly, without any tricks, Thorne emphasizes. He asks if he's clear on that. Clarke and Sally both say they are, but Thorne looks like he doesn't believe them. Sally asks if he wants her to swear in blood. Thorne takes that as a yes and gives Eric his word that this won't happen again. Eric hopes not, as he'll be watching. Thorne and Darla then walk Eric to the elevator. Clarke then tells Sally, "you win some, you lose some." Sally says they already one. She's sure that Eric wasn't worked up about just a logo. She thinks Eric sees their sales eclipsing his own and it has him sweating. So the tide is turning? Clarke asks. Absolutely, Sally says: after all these years, she thinks she's about to make it into the winner's circle for the very first time.

Hope brightens up the breakfast table.
At Ridge's Bel Air home, Ridge, Brooke, Hope and Bridget are having breakfast. Hope asks for more juice. Ridge gives her some and asks Bridget if she wants a refill, but Bridget is distracted. Brooke recalls seeing Ridge tell Bridget, "You'll always be my princess" last night and asks Bridget how the party went. She saw Bridget was upset when she came home and wonders if anything happened. Bridget guesses her mom's talking about Deacon and assures Brooke again that she's over him. Ridge says he can vouch for that. Brooke asks Bridget if she's glad she went. Bridget says it wasn't really what she expected.
Thomas reveals that he's on to his dad's ploy at the party.
Thomas comes down and says that goes double for him. He kisses Brooke good morning, greets Hope and takes a seat next to Bridget. "Look who finally dragged himself out of bed," Ridge says. Thomas says that partying takes it's toll, even for a stud like him - and speaking of partying, he asks his dad if he told Brooke about his dance with Amber last night. Brooke seems surprised, especially when Thomas says Ridge only did it to distract Amber so Caitlin could talk with him [Thomas] privately. Ridge says he felt like Caitlin had something to say and thought he's give her a private moment to day it. He then asks if Caitlin said anything. Like admitting she had the feelings for him that he wished she had months ago? Thomas asks. He tells Bridget she doesn't know what it's like to love someone you have so much in common with, only to not be able to have that person. Bridget just looks at him.
Ridge says he didn't want to meddle. Thomas guesses this is what his dad has to do, given the free time on Ridge's hands and the twins away at boarding school. Ridge admits he misses the girls, but he knows they're having fun. And the last time he had this much time on his hands was... After mom died, Thomas recalls - which was when Bridget stayed with them, providing a lifeline for them. Feeling uncomfortable, Bridget excuses herself. Thomas wonders if it was something he said. Ridge says Bridget just has a lot going on in her life, just like Thomas does with his unresolved feelings for Caitlin. Thomas says he has no unresolved feelings. He's in love with Amber. And if they have the adult relationship they claim to, Ridge says, he hopes Thomas will be responsible enough to pull out if he has the slightest doubt about Amber.

Nick chows down while giving Bridget advice.
Bridget goes down to Chuck's, where Nick chows down on some ribs and french fries (for breakfast?). She said his secretary told her he was here. And he is, Nick confirms. He asks Bridget to sit down and join him. She turns down the ribs but sits down to talk. She wants to apologize for dragging him into her mess with Ridge last night and wanted to make sure he wasn't worried. He keeps eating, so Bridget guesses he's not worried. In any case, she wants him to know she's going to go back to Copenhagen. And what will that accomplish? he asks. If he thinks she's running away, Bridget says, she's not. She loves her mother and doesn't want to disrupt the life Brooke and Ridge have fought so hard to find, so she doesn't see any other answer other than going back to Europe. While it might not be with Oscar, she's sure she can make a life for herself there. Nick keeps eating, so she asks if he's heard a word she's said. He says he's multi-tasking and has heard. He thinks she has put Ridge on some pedestal where other men pale in comparison, and she's scared she'll feel this way the rest of her life.

Bridget thinks she has to go back to Europe.
Bridget says it seems weird for him to get all "Dr. Phil" on her by telling her what she's failed to tell herself for months. He says he likes the TV shrink, plus he majored in slipknots and minored in psychology. She tells him to get serious. She thinks he was right about her having impossible standards. He points out he said she had HIGH standards, not impossible ones. There's a difference. He knows she and Ridge shared something when Taylor died, so it's natural that they're close. However, he thinks she can still find another man who will make her feel that way in time. He offers her some fries. She says she almost believes it the way he says it. He's glad she sees that, since it's a start, and hopes she's reconsidered leaving town. She however still thinks leaving is the only answer that will keep her from causing trouble for her mother.
Ridge tries to explain Bridget's troubles to Brooke.
Back at Ridge's. Thomas takes Hope to check on R.J., leaving Brooke and Ridge alone at the table. Ridge asks if he's making progress with Thomas. She thinks he is and wishes she could make the same kind of progress with Bridget. She asks Ridge how Bridget seemed to him. He says Bridget has a lot going on. Like breaking her engagement to Oscar? Brooke asks. She reveals that Stephanie told her about that last night, and that she knows he knew about it, too. He says Bridget didn't want to ruin their holidays with questions. Yet Bridget confided in him, Brooke says, but not in her own mother. She tells Ridge she saw him with Bridget last night when they came home and has to ask: is her daughter still in love with him?
Brooke asks Ridge to make her a promise.
Ridge says Bridget does have feelings for him, but not in the way she thinks. She asks if he's sure. Ridge tells her that Bridget just fears she can never have the kind of closeness with other men that she had with him, and what she saw last night was Bridget's feelings about that pouring out. He only wanted to assure her it would be OK. By touching her cheek? Brooke asks. Ridge says Bridget needed a friend, but Brooke reminds him what happened the last time Bridget turned to him while living in this house. She's worried that Bridget is very vulnerable right now. He asks what she's suggesting. She says she's not suggesting anything. She wants him to know she's secure in their marriage, but she fears he's handling Bridget's problems the wrong way. By touching her, hugging her and calling her princess, he's only confusing Bridget, and he can't let that happen. Ridge assures Brooke that he cares too much about Bridget to hurt her, but he cares about their marriage to much to compromise what they have. Then she needs him to make her a promise, Brooke says, and god help them if he can't keep it.
