Bridget grows angry when Eric tries to call Brooke.
At the Forrester guest house, Eric asks Bridget what happened, but she only wants to be left alone. Eric suspects it's something Deacon did, but Bridget shouts for Eric to stop! Eric backs off and says if Bridget won't talk to him, he'll call Brooke, but that only gets Bridget angrier! She orders Eric not to call Brooke and to leave her alone! Eric leaves a sobbing Bridget behind, disgusted at the thought of Deacon being with her mother.

Brooke tells Erica how strong her bond with Bridget is.
Brooke is at her house trying to call Bridget; when she gets Bridget's voice mail, she leaves a message hoping Bridget is enjoying lunch with Deacon and thanking her for the wonderful baby shower. She says that Bridget is her best friend, so she appreciates all the support Bridget has given. Thinking she's sounding mushy, Brooke says she loves Bridget and ends the call. She then realizes that Erica, who has come back downstairs, is standing in the room and has overheard. Erica apologizes, but Brooke says it's OK; she is just surprised to see Erica there. Erica says that Brooke seems to have a special relationship with Bridget and Brooke agrees, saying there's no one she's closer to. As Erica resumes collecting the shower gifts, Brooke notices one toy that she got two of, so she tells Erica to leave it and she will exchange it. When Erica doesn't see the other one, she wonders if Bridget got it when she came back. Brooke is surprised to hear that Bridget came back as she didn't see her, and she guesses that Bridget probably missed Deacon, who had come to the house to take her to lunch. Maybe he caught her on the way out, Erica guesses, finding the second toy. Erica takes the rest of the gifts upstairs while she goes to check on little Eric.

Brooke is amused as a surprised Whip hears voices from the baby monitor.
Whip comes home and greets his wife, and he immediately starts to undress. Brooke asks what he's doing. He jokes that he doesn't need a reason to get naked with his wife and then admits he's going skinny-dipping in lieu of those cold showers Brooke keeps telling him to take. He invites her to join him. Brooke laughs but declines, pointing out that they're not alone. Whip doesn't believe her until they hear Erica's voice on the baby monitor. Whip is surprised by the voices as Brooke laughs, explaining how the baby monitor was a shower gift. Whip agrees that now isn't the time to skinny-dip and suggests Brooke join him for a swim instead. She declines, but after Whip imitates the sound of his crying for help while drowning, Brooke agrees to join him. Whip asks why she's in such a good mood. Brooke explains how seeing Bridget so happy at the shower convinced her that marrying Whip was the right thing to do. Whip hopes Deacon agrees; Brooke thinks he does, explaining how she and Deacon talked when he came to take Bridget to lunch. From that talk, she's sure Deacon has come to terms with her marriage and with Whip raising the baby. Whip hopes so, telling Brooke about his own talk with Stephanie and her warning to be careful. All it would take is for one person to overhear her talk with Deacon, Whip reminds her. Brooke is sure no one heard them, since the door was closed and they were quiet. Convinced, Whip goes to put on his swimsuit. Brooke says Bridget should be done with her lunch with Deacon and wants to have her join them, but Whip says she never made it to lunch. He explains how Deacon was at the office talking to Stephanie until he went to a meeting, which means Bridget never found him. Then where could she be, Brooke wonders?

Stephanie tells Eric to remain calm while she talks with Bridget.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie arrives. A frantic Eric thanks her for coming and explains that Bridget is in the guest house, and he fears that something's terribly wrong. Did something bad happen at the shower? When Stephanie says no, Eric fears Deacon has done something, because he has never seen Bridget this hysterical. Stephanie asks what Bridget said. Eric explains that Bridget wouldn't even talk to him and threw him out of the guest house. Still sure Deacon is responsible, Eric is ready to kill him, but Stephanie asks him to wait until she talks to Bridget. Eric says that Bridget wants to be alone and wouldn't even let him call Brooke, but he wants to call Brooke anyway. Stephanie asks him not to as that will just send signals to Bridget that she can't trust Eric, which is the last thing they need. Stephanie tells Eric to stay calm and wait for her to talk to Bridget first. She heads for the guest house, and on the way, she wonders: could Bridget have found out about Brooke and Deacon?

Bridget says Brooke was right that Stephanie is evil, while Stephanie was right that Brooke is a whore!
Stephanie arrives at the guest house and knocks, asking to speak with Bridget. Bridget, meanwhile, recalls how Brooke told Deacon that their secret would remain between themselves, Whip and Stephanie. Stephanie knew, Bridget realizes! Stephanie calls out to Bridget, who asks her to go away. Stephanie says she will not, explaining how worried she and Eric are right now. She says how Eric thought this involved Deacon and was ready to call Brooke, but she stopped him, suspecting Bridget might not want to talk to her mom. She tries to tell Bridget she wants to help her. When Bridget doesn't answer, she starts to walk away, but Bridget then opens the door, sarcastically asking if Stephanie really wants to help. Stephanie says she does and follows Bridget inside, asking Bridget to tell her what's wrong. So she can tell her again she's crazy, Bridget asks, like she did when Bridget was sure Deacon and Brooke were acting strange? Stephanie said she was just being paranoid then, Bridget recalls, but she lied, something Bridget never expected from someone as brutally honest as Stephanie. She guesses that she's not a very good judge of character and laughs as Stephanie asks her what's wrong. She thinks Stephanie should tell her instead -- or is she afraid poor little Bridget will get a clue? She orders Stephanie to leave, saying Brooke was always right about her being manipulative and evil! At the same time, though, Stephanie was right about what Brooke really is: a whore!

Brooke realizes that the baby monitor is turned on!
Settling onto the couch, Brooke calls Megan, looking for Bridget. Megan confirms what Whip said about Bridget never arriving at the office and in fact points out that Deacon was even looking for her. He tried calling home but got no answer. Brooke wonders what happened, explaining that she just wants to talk to Bridget and tell her again how great the shower was. She asks Megan to call her if she hears from Bridget and hangs up. Brooke then wonders if Bridget is swimming at the beach or taking a nap: that would explain why she didn't answer her cell. She then thinks it's a shame Bridget and Deacon missed each other and is surprised that Bridget didn't notice Deacon's car in the driveway. Just then, Brooke hears Whip and Erica's voices on the baby monitor, talking in the nursery about the shower. Suddenly it dawns on Brooke that someone could have heard her and Deacon that way, and she's shocked!

Stephanie admits the truth to Bridget.
Bridget tells Stephanie to go away, but Stephanie refuses. She guesses that Bridget knows the truth and asks how she found out. Bridget explains how she overheard them talking about their sacrifice. Stephanie calls them both as idiots and Bridget keeps crying, asking how her mother could have done this to her. Stephanie says she knows Bridget is in love with Deacon, but she doesn't think Deacon deserves her. Bridget asks if Brooke and Deacon were having an affair and Stephanie confirms that they have. As does her love her, Bridget asks? He says he does, Stephanie admits. And this is his baby, Bridget laments, reduced to tears. Stephanie holds Bridget tightly in a hug as she tells the crying girl over and over how sorry she is.
